Been reading the update thread. My score, to paraphrase the Science guy's lament in the modern era, sucked. 1380 or so, in 1888. But at least I won, dang it! Stinking lousy other civs, per normal, ganged up on me with dips, and then shared all my tech with each other. If I hadn't finished United Nations, the global alliance would have crushed me in short order. As if that wasn't bad enough, I only had SDI in about two-thirds of my cities when the . . . Russians? started the Manhattan Project in 1870-something. I finished the MP in 1887, and my ship landed the next turn, with the Chinese and Egyptian ships 5 and 13 years (or so)behind.

It occurs to me that I actually didn't do too bad. I did finish with a population of 70 million, and built almost every wonder after the Renaissance. And it was 40,000 Mongols that founded Xanadu (Mongol name of first Centauri colony).
