Firaxis and Civ 6 at Pax West on Saturday 3rd of September

I wonder if there was anything else they talked about that was interesting and new. Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited to have a real look at the Kongo, and I like that they embraced his native culture rather than his Western presentation. That all said, it's no big reveal. And there is still quite a bit but they haven't gone over officially. But then again, we have plenty of time, I do admit.

I have to agree about hoping there is something more than just a civ reveal. I mean, a Civ reveal is great, but there is so much to be discussed and the recalls leave little more to talk about. If like to see more mechanic info like roads, espionage, religious battle, Corps and Armies, modding, etc.

If a civilization reveal is a "big reveal", I wonder what is a "normal reveal" for them...

If they didn't leak the leader board and showed the leaders in the civilopedia already, Kongo would be a big reveal. I don't think many players had it on their list for vanilla before the leaks. It's also their first appearance in civ IIRC. So for people that only follow the First Look videos, I guess it is a real surprise and thus a big reveal (more so than Rome, Russia, Greece or Arabia).

I thought the leader board bingo (and Ed-gate leak) has become sort of common knowledge already before this PAX began. While not all players read CivFanatics or r/civ, lots of people also commenting in Youtube or Facebook hinting the leak.

Kongo is surprising, but it's no more surprising than Scythia imho.. and if Scythia don't deserve a special even to announce them, so does Kongo. I was expecting more stuffs like modding ability, game specs requirement, or DLC reveal.
 
Surely they talked about SOMETHING other than just the new civ reveal right? Was anyone at the panel? :lol:
 
They talked about how they choose civs and leaders. And probably about unstacking cities and other stuff that we all know.
 
If anybody was at the panel... Did you see Ed Beech and how was he?

there are so many PAX West 2016 videos already on youtube. but non of them is about civ.
