Celts, most likely. I want to explore what the religions can do. Pangea, standard with all the new civs to see how they are with diplomatic relations.

I actually want to avoid the Celts for my first game. I want to know how hard it is for a regular civ to found a religion without really being dedicated to doing so.

Probably read other's first games and entertain myself on all of the rantings and ravings. :)

As far as my first game, I have no idea - probably someone to test out the offensive combat differences.

I'm thinking the Celts will be my first choice, as I'd like to see how religion affects everything. I'd suggest that I will likely choose:

    Civ: Celts
Difficulty: Prince (much easier than the level I normally play, but I'd like to take it easy for the first game)
    Map Type: Continents
Opponents: Random. Half the fun is not knowing who you'll be up against.

After I get somewhat of a hang on the religion system, I'm thinking maybe a Dutch Espionage focused game might be fun.

    Civ : England
    Difficulty : Warlord
Map Type : Pangea (so I actually GET to me all of the civs, I'll leave naval combat for another game)
Opponents : All of the 9 new civs + Isabella
    Victory Condition : Diplomatic

I even have the first few turns planned out.

I'll beeline calendar, then archery, so I can build Archers and garrison them in my units, and Calendar for Shrine and Stonehenge (which gives faith instead of culture). If 2kGreg resolves my game issues I'll name a religion after him (Greggism)

I will attentively read and analyse the new tech tree. Almost every useful infos are into the tech tree, at least for buildings, units and wonders. I will also read about religion facts and new diplo windows.

After all this i will finally hit the end turn button :)

Civ? Random. I will eventually play them all within 2 weeks.

    Welcome SpaceJesus!

I'm waiting for someone to mod all the truffles into green chile, then take charge of it all and not share.

I expect to play either Celts or Byzantium on a huge map in epic time.

I am going to play as Austria on Prince (so I can figure out the new stuff) and on a Continents map. For my second game, I am going to play Sweden back up on King.

    CIV: Spain
    Map: Archipelago
    Size: Large
Difficulty: King (usually plays on Emperor)
Opponents: 9 New civilization plus England and Songhai.
Victory: Settle all natural wonders, some of them new, and basically just looking at how the AI of the new civs and UA play out in somewhat isolated conditions. I already had Spain, so I don't need to find out about them, other than just seeing how fast it is for them to found a religion from religious natural wonders.

    Hmmm...At the moment, I'm thinking:

    Austria
Large Random Map (or maybe huge if necessary)
All new civs + Songhai (to see the new UA) + any other civs with drastic changes
King difficulty (so I can not worry much about strategy and just play to explore the changes)
Goal: Try to assimilate every CS by the end of the game. I might even go OCC + assimilation. That could be fun. :D

First I have to wait for 22th to activate the game!! And that same weekend I'm spending the traditional midsummer festival weekend at summer cabin, so I need to wait for 26th day to start civving... :(

Anyway, I'll take Byzantine cause I love their units, eight other new civs as opponents, and a classic setup of standard map/continents/standard time.
Prince level so I can experiment things and not to be on my toes all the time.

I probably won't even complete my first game but just have fun with it.

Game number two: A Dutch global trade empire!

    Game number three: Smoky skies

'm probably gonna play the Celts because of obvious reasons but also to get right into religion.
