I bet Scythia is the replacement for the Huns. I wonder if Tomyris is speaking Ossetian, are Ossetian speakers hard to find? Could be using Persian though?
There are half a million Ossetian speakers. Farsi is quite close, but Ossetian would be more fun. I have a feeling it's Ossetian - the sound of the language leaves strange impression what I'm hearing Russian even though words are not recognizable. Could be a bilingual Russian/Ossetian speaker.
Scythia is an obvious inclusion for the sake of TSL i think that can be noted. Agree with the above posters about the horses, just give her a horse resource start bias and allow them to yield double or triple their yield and lower the production costs of all horse units or something. Imho it's kinda underwhelming but i wouldn't be surprised if patches/expansions change her up a bit of that by release things are a bit different.
Tile - Kurgan gold/faith bonus next to pasture (can't place next to one another)
Unit - Sakka Horse Archer doesn't need horses
Bonus - Building Unique Horse Archer or Light Cal get 2
Bonus - Bonus to killing wounded units and heal on kill
Agenda - Hates surprise war
I think Tomyris looks fairly awesome and I love that we're getting someone totally new. I'm at work so I couldn't watch the video with sound...can someone post all of the details about their uniques?
Its really important for those civs with early game units. Since you don't have time to explore/settle more, if your unique requires something and you get a garbo start then it complete nullifies it through no fault of your own. It would just be unfun design so its good they remove it.
This is generally only true for horses, since iron and all other rescourse-based UU come later you will have had time to expand.
I agree it would be unfun if your ancient era UU was not avaliable, that is why I suggest starting bias/spawn horse resource in capital instead of this.
I realize in game terms its absolutely fine but it's such a break in immersion for (what I think) no good reason. Whereas Scythians settling down their first city near horses makes sense.

NOT only does she get Horse Archers that don't require Resource to produce, they HEAL after they kill a unit, they also will always have DOUBLE the size of an army for each unit they produce that is Mounted.
That is a powerful bonus and she is going to be a force to be recokned with.
Possibly. Since we don't seem to be getting Genghis Khan, it could be Mongols under Kublai with less emphasis on mounted conquest and more on culture and wide spread infrastructure.
UA receive 2 light cavalry/horse archers for the price of 1
UU horse archer requiring 0 horses,
UA2 more dmg to wounded, heals when kills a unit
UI gives gold and faith.... Bonus next to pastures, flat land only, not adjacent to itself/hills

No mention of her awesome model? I think she is by far the best model of a leader released yet, with reworked teddy taking place two on that list. Seeing the model of Tomyris you immediatly think of a tough leader you wouldn't want to mess with.
It makes me hope, that they changed their view on leader models and tune their wackyness down a little.
Qin and Pedro could need some love to display their personalities a bit better.
