It's pretty late and I think I need some more experience to be better in the future. <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">

I hope you enjoyed your first Game of the Month! The biggest fun for me is the fact that I've played a game which a lot of other guys have. I don't dare to try to compete with the biggest players here, because - really - the best Civ2 players of the world are on this site. Perhaps even the best. <img src="icon12.gif" border="0">

Hey Warior, congrats on your first GOTM! As long as you had fun, you've "won" the game! That said, the 50^PNP factor in the GOTM score formula does reward speed of finish, as we've all been finding out. But you will definitely finish sooner and sooner as you play and read about how others approach the game, too. The spoiler threads often contain interesting info, and the War Academy has lots of strategies, etc. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I'm playng the GOTM. I haven't finish it yet.

What is the best way the score max: the conquest or the space
ship solution ?

I usualy play Civ II and Emperor or Deity level.

LeSphinx, while I'm certainly not one of the better GoTM players, it seems that most players tend to build the 400 point spaceship. To see what your up against check the results from the last couple of GoTM's, there are many excellent players here and some scores have been quite high. But, good luck none the less.

The best way to score in GotM is pretty much the same as in game scoring.You want population more than anything else.
So,a spaceship is probably best.With some conquering and "we love days" growth.Get it all done ASAP

With the current system,if you want to medal,you'll need to fill up the map after, or while pounding the ai to 1 city.Then do the farm/airbase every square thing.This part is not so fun.

Here's where it shows the number of turns for each difficulty level in the War Academy. The numbersshown are for a normal sized map only. They differ a bit for the middle difficulty levels for smaller and larger maps. I don't remember where, but someone posted the turns for each level and each size map. You can always use cheat mode to find the number of turns in each case also.
