Currently the only team without a flag is donuts, so maybe we should make on for them as a gesture of goodwill. I'll do my best on it, but currently am fresh out of Ideas. Below is a very boring rough draft, but I don't like it. anyone have some ideas for it? (Please feel free to suggest an entirely new concept)

Here's crappy gift. Please don't think of sending it. I just really like the image. Maybe someone else wants to work from it?

I like the idea of a gift ... it will be needed by our diplomats ...

I like the bite taken out of it image ...

But the words are wrong ...

since they are the Simpsons themed ... can anyone suggest a Simpsonesque passage (excuse the pun) ... a Homer line or are the Springfield Donuts a special brand ...

All I can think of is ... Mmmmmm Donuts

Marge, Prepare the Emergency Ham!

Lisa, I want to buy your Rock.

Let's all bask in TV's warm glowing warming glow.

Then why do we have a can, Marge? Can somebody tell me!?

I, for one, welcome our Donut Overlords.

Actually Better Idea ... actually 2

1. we offer them the flag unadorned and let them choose the text ... and then add it
2. We offer them the flag unadorned ... and they add their own text

Eitherway we should in very very very very small (hidden maybe :mischief: ) text indicate the origin by placing MIA somewhere ....

What you think ... I really like ybbor's artwork :clap:

well, I'll see what I can do...

MIA appears in two places. in the lower right hand corner, which is visible under two consitions; 300%+ zoom, or find edges at 400%+ zoom. It is nearly invisible under normal circumstances, unless you are looking for it; with "find edges" you can see something is there at normal zoom.

the 2nd place it appears is sideways on the D, it is completely invisible except at 1000%+ zoom.

Let them know I can edit the picture however they may wish.

For the record, if it were up to me, I wouldn't send it with embeded mark, we gain nothing but pride if it is accpeted, and if we are discovered we lose trust. But you're in charge and i really don't mind

Me ??? ... In charge ??? ... :lol:

I like having a hidden watermark ... we can tell them later in either good faith or ... to antagonize them :evil:

So for me ... the better the watermark is hidden ... the better ... and then we send them the closeup (if necessary)

This is a clever way to send hidden messages. To thrill or to antagonize. We could send a certain president an image with an embedded stopwatch. Maybe hidden in a code of laws book? ;)

we could offer little challenges, like a lottery. We generate an image with a hidden clue. The other teams (after full contact) pay 10 gold to get a copy of the image. THe first team to correctly identify the message will get 25 gold from us. We keep the other 5. The house always wins!

Oh I like that ... a lottery competition ... entry fee ... profit based on their greed ...

It would only work once ... novelty factor ... well worth exploring ... well done ...

@ybbor my graphics is very very simple paint ... could you post the closeups for us to see ... I actually thought I found one in the bottom LEFT side ...

why would it only work once? We'd simply have to be more and more clever in our message. Like those infuriating crossword clues.

perhaps you are right ... I just thought that Others would try to get into the act ... and create their own challenges ...

However the first time would be the most exciting ... and a challenge that could possibly make a little more cash ... i can imagine the whinings of a team that lost cash not wanting to risk it again ... so then the rules get watered down ... etc

Rather than embedded letters, how about some other sort of cryptic signature.... hidden in plain sight?

M.I.A.: Consecutively the 18th, 9th, and 1st letters of the alphabetagamma...

1 x 9 x 2, backwards...

a pyramid? +
+++++++++
++++++++++++++++++

but more likely a vortex
++++++++++++++++++
+++++++++ +

or do it as a 3d grid, with the image rotated in isometric:

1 unit thick, 9 long, 18 wide.

totally rambling thoughts...

EDIT: ACSII crap didn't work. top row: 18
middle row: 9
bottom row: 1

Whatever

Or MIA in the light that is shining through the hole? ... Either way put a watermark somewhere is very nicely done ... Damn you guys are good ... glad I'm on your team ;)

Ybbor: That is supremely sweet! We should send that one as a token of thanks at first meeting (if it goes well)

Should we come up with something for KISS? in morse code MIA= - - . . . -
or, squished: --...-
I really like your technique.
