Since I upgraded to G&K, the usual path to enable Mods on my mac has changed. The usual path of: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/sid meier's civilization v/assets/UI/FrontEnd/MainMenu.lua does not contain anything past the sid meter's civilization folder. It only contains the G&K app file and nothing else. I have tried uninstall of both the Civ5 program and complete uninstall of Steam.

Reinstall does not help. The folder stops at: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/sid meier's civilization v

A search for the MainMenu.lua yields nothing.

Any advice or ideas?

Thanks.

Same here :( Except, for me, under Application Support, there isn't even a Steam folder...

I've been able to locate the .lua file.

Here's what I know so far.
Right click on the actual app (on my Mac Civ is located under /Applications & /~/library/application support/SteamApps/common/SidMe..../.app ) and click on "Show Package Contents"

From here, (on both locations of the file) you can access
/Contents/Home/Assets/UI/FrontEnd/MainMenu.lua

I've commented out the line as required (for both locations to be safe), but no go.

If you can't find the library folder, here's what you do:

OK >> so the .lua file has been edited so the portion in question reads as follows:
Line 37 -
-- Controls.ModsButton:SetHide( false ); -- MAC_PORT - rickb Comment this line out to re-enable mods. Happy modding!

Save... load the game via Steam ... no option present to view mods.
I've already extracted both the files from the perfect world mod, but no love. =/
