forrested tiles

I sometimes encounter a situation with a forrested tile. When the tile is cleared, I don't get the 10 shields back to the city. This is the original forest not a re-planted one. Does anybody know why this happens?

You won't get the 10 shields if you're producing a wonder or small wonder.

Could it be outside the 21-tile radius?

If this is not the problem, remember you can only forest and cut down a
tile ONE time. After that it is a waste!

Right, but he said in his first post it was the first time he chopped the forest in this game.

Make sure your city isn't producing wealth, you won't get the 10 shields that way either.
