Fort Zombie

The concept looks amazing, and I really want to play it.

But look at the reviews at the bottom of the screen...most point to shaky controls and other problems with the game that take it down a few notches :(

I really hope someone revisits this, because the concept sounds in freaking credible.

Looks awesome, except for the graphics. That's the kind of zombie game that looks like it kicks ass.

Sounds interesting, though a bit like one of those free online Flash games. Probably will do well given the popularity of Dwarf Fortress AND zombies.

I've tried it, however it does not run well on my laptop.
Minimum requirements for this game is video memory of 512 mb and graphics is not that good to be worth that much video memory.

Game it self is rather fun and interesting, but there are still many bugs: Zombies are stupid (can't path around obstacles), climbing has no proper animation, zombies often attack window glasses (you can jump through window glasses!), military zombies have higher gun skill than you have, AI can sometimes see you through wall, you can attack zombies through wall and many many bugs. But none of them hinders gameplay by too much, so all's good :)

It's not a shoot-them-all-up game, you should avoid large masses (lack of ammo and reload time) and controls are bit off my taste, what makes it hard to sneak around. Then again, closing door behind you, savaging house from kitchen to kids room (guess where extra supply of .32 ammo was?), hearing door being broken down on kitchen floor and rushing down on first floor, jumping through window and running are quite memorable gaming events.

I'd rate it "B", despite all the lagginess (video card) and game issues, Fort Zombie is somewhat nearest thing to my ideal zombie game.

PS Keep away from churches and conserve your ammo.

It is apparently laggy for everybody irregardless of hardware, but I'm going to try it anyway :)

Hard to believe a 700mb game could be so laggy though, it must be completely unoptimized code!

I tried it however it was quite buggy and ran poorly on my less than 6 month old new PC. The concept is quite good but the implementation is so far lacking.

Give it a few patches or a major overhaul and I'd definately recommend it.

Sounds like a Paradox game to me! :D

There other game, Sword of the Stars, was much better. However they patched that very regularly anyway so I would expect them to improve this by a decent margin given 4-6 months.

no game, can compare with what I do every day to guarantee the safety and freedom of you people!
