Forum currently slow (March 20, 2025)

Gladly this evening it seems to be going alright.
An explanation what happened this morning/noon:
- Yesterday night around midnight CET I reported the issue to Xenforo
- Around 9:30 CET (they seem to be based in Europe) the support answered that they don't see any issues on their side, but added some options to the config to better deal with higher load (just in case that is the issue). Something must have gone wrong there, and it broke the site
- Around 11:30 CET I saw that the support had answered, I checked CFC and it was perpetually giving a 502.
- I pinged the support, asking what was up
- I also emailed TF, saying that we need to check with our ad provider Venatus what is going on
- Around 13:00 CET TF saw the email, and created a new ticket
- 20 min or less later the server was up again
- The cause of the delay was that I had opened the ticket via my account, which is somehow associated with CFC, but does not get the same priority treatment as TFs account, as only this one is flagged as owner. Therefore my first note around 11:30 was not dealt with with priority (means nobody had read it yet), whereas TFs was directly seen. I do have the option to select his account for creating a ticket, as both are associated
2 lessons learned:
- For Xenforo, check if something's working after you change it
- For me, use TFs account to open a support ticket in case it's urgent
