if one founds and corporation in one's city then switches say from free market back to mercantilism

1) does one lose the corporation?

2) if i do lose the corporation, can it be founded again?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If I raze a corporation home city, can it be reestablished?

What happens to the cities where it expands to? do they die like killing the master vampire?

1) no, they just vanish temporarily (foreign corporations, state property disables ALL corporations)
after you switch to a different civic they reappear

1)No, the corporation is still there, but just non functional (and it's state property that you're thinking of - mercantilism only shuts down foreign corporation branches).

2)In game mechanics a corporation functions much like a religion, so I suspect that the HQ cannot be refounded if destroyed. I'd have thought the branches would continue to function as normal, but I'm, not entirely sure how the game will handle which civ owns the corporation (for deciding whether mercantilism stops it). Probably it will become a "foreign" corporation for all civs, including the one that founded it.

There are only two ways to remove a corporation from a city:

1) replace it with a different corporation that uses one of the same resources.

2) raze the city.

The Mercantilism and State Property Civics prevent the effects of certain corporations, but neither removes the corporation.

@Garbageinhere - that would render the influence civics mission of spies stupidly overpowered - one dirt cheap flip into mercantilism or state property and you'd have to refound all your corporation branches. It would be a highly irritating effect anyway, and doesn't allow for how the HQ would work.

You misunderstood me; i mean that if we payed :gold:, you could remove foreign corporations from your cities if you didn't had mercantilism, SP or Free Market; if you had Free Market, that option would be disabled and if you had Mercantilism or SP, you wouldn't need that, because they're already without effect

example: Monty spreads Civilized Jewelers in your biggest city, but you don't want it, nor you want to adopt SP/Mercantilism (and you're not running Free Market), so you pay 200 :gold: to remove Civilized Jewelers from your biggest city and close borders with him to avoid further spreads.

I DON'T want to adopt SP/Mercantilism and the Ethanol from my buddy Ghandi disappear all, even if i get again out of SP/Mercantilism (probably he wouldn't spread it to me again!)

So if I am not in free market...and don't want to switch to state property or mercantilism....what does that leave me with?

Seems very limited.... I don't like it.

^^
if you guys don't agree, please post on my thread, and not on this

and some guys use environmentalism...

maybe, Free Market could also allow to remove corporations, but as it it a free market, pay more :gold:
