It's funny we're experiencing quite the rise in indie Civ like games, indie Heroes of Might & Magic like games, and even indie Command & Conquer/Red Alert like RTS games. While EA puts out another C&C cash grab mobile game no one wants to play other smaller studios and publishers are thankfully stepping up to do their own takes on the C&C formula keeping the original spirit alive. The biggest being Tempest Rising, then we've got the promising Global Conflagration, and now we've got another one on the way called Fractured Alliance!
I can see some Total Annihilation/Supreme Commander influences too and sure enough the Fractured Alliance steam page describes the game as this..
"Prepare to embark on an epic journey through the theater of strategic warfare with Fractured Alliance. This real-time strategy game draws inspiration from the iconic classics of the genre – Command & Conquer, Red Alert, and Supreme Commander – weaving their essence into a captivating gameplay experience accompanied by a rich narrative."
Looks like it's pretty early days and not as far along as the other 2 games mention but it's already looking pretty cool and has potential!
