Freaky hotmail problem

Whenever I try to send a message from my hotmail account, the "Rich Text Editor" icons do not appear in the message window and I get the "Error on page." icon in the lower left of the Internet Explorer window (IE6).

If I try to send a message anyway, the message goes through, but it's blank; none of the text shows up.

I tried to contact microsoft support, but something seems to be going awry there as well. The problem has persisted since Feb. 5.

Any ideas? (other than chucking my hotmail account and going elsewhere; I already abandoned yahoo!)

chucking your yahoo! was a bad idea...
But, Microsoft makes bad products, shown here. I don't think I'm having the same problem, I don't know what it is.

Yeah, I abandoned yahoo! against my will. I just started getting way too much junk mail there.

Thanks, I'll give you a holler if the hotmail doesn't come back up. But I'm really curious as to what's wrong with it.
