Freedom of Speech!

Do we really have complete freedom of speech? Is this question a useful one?

In reality there are only 2 positions to hold: either you completely support freedom of speech or you don't. If you don't, it's just a matter of where we draw the line.

Option 1: You support complete freedom of speech, unhindered by anything. You may yell fire in a theatre, libel or slander, and give away national secrets to enemies.

Option 2: You don't support complete freedom of speech and have decided to limit it somewhat.

Bonus question: is the question/poll and its results at all useful?

What about crying "MOVIE!" in a crowded firehouse?

Option 2, I suppose, since endangering others through one's speech (such as treason and tricking others into a deadly panic) must be worthy of legal repercussions in a civilized society.

What about crying "MOVIE!" in a crowded firehouse?

 You just made my day!

Option 2. And yeah it's useful because you made it public so we know who the extremists are and to prevent them from ever gaining power. :)

If you really wanted this poll to match VRWC's, the question would be if you support "freedom of speech" or not, not "complete freedom of speech"

I thought I supported freedom of speech, then I met hatemongers.

Option 2, and I really think this poll is pointless.

I mean, there are very, very few rules in life that are fast and hard.

No right is absolute because it will sometimes clash with other rights.
