FTP trouble

Whenever I try to access the school server from home I keep getting "530 user Anonymous cannot log in".
I've been able before to access another server, and a friend of mine who lives one block away can access it too.
I tried looking for answers on the net, but found nothing usefull

Anybody know more about this stuff?

PS; I'm using Mozilla 1.7 on XP.

Try ftp://usernameassword@ftp.domain.com/
where username is a username for that ftp site, password is the password for that username, and ftp.domain.com is the doman name of the school's server.

At the bottum it now says "Finished FTP Transaction" but not my folder on the server or anything.
I was actually able to see my folder once, but then I couldn't add stuff in it like I had been able to before.

You might be better off using a program specifically for ftp, rather than Mozilla, especially if you plan to upload files. Filezilla is a pretty good program for that... you can find it here. (The version for Windows XP is the second file, labeled FileZilla_2_2_9_setup.exe)
