[General Ege]

Anyone have any interesting grudges or backstories when they play civ? Like there is one civ that they always play against and hate entirely, or hold an extreme bias towards helping out another civ? Ex: You hate the Incas because in numerous games they would cause the riots in your cities, etc....

I have a few but let's let you guys do the talking

I cannot stand the site of Gandhi. That massive head of his is exactly the way I see him. In the game, that is.

And I seem to have a natural tendency to try and build nice relationships with Wang Kon, Mehmed, Stalin and Huayna Capac. I play Earth maps a lot, so I think I have too much sympathy for the Incas.

No real reason, but I loathe Hannibal. He always seems to do the worst things. He's declared war on me for no reason and vassalised to another civ the moment I declared on him. He's such a bastid..

I DoW on sight because I don't want to hear ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS every other turn asking for open borders or something.

Hate Huayna both because he's aggressive and because he's constantly shaking. creeps me out.

On-topic: I hate Catherine. I play the Earth Map a lot, and she is almost always powerful or hindering me in some way (in my latest game, she vassalized to Germany while losing none of her cities and wouldn't allow me access to Africa, as she controlled Thebes). The one time I didn't play Earth Map and saw her, her empire was enormous and it took centuries to capture it all, losing most of my best troops.

I'm more disposed to befriending the Americans if I come across them simply because I'm an American. I also hate Tokugawa simply because he's so DARN hard to befriend. I've shared religions with him, bribed him, and he STILL wouldn't open his borders or trade much. It really stank considering at the time I was at war and he was my only religious buddy--I wanted to bring in an ally.

Sitting Bull can make me cry, especially when I am PLANNING to early rush. Same with almost all the Pro leaders, but SB is the worst.
