Funny Fall from Heaven Screenshots!

You've been lucky. One of the AI civs must've explored a lair and got a "Spectres haunt the area" result. If one this spectres ate a few units, it could then upgrade to a wraith, and then... Well, yeah.

Nice to know. Though not that there is much you can do if it happens that early.

I could let autoplay run sometime and see how many civilizations that wraith manages to wipe before is killed. Though would be even more fun to see if barbarians win the game :)

I've seen a wraith wipe out 3 AIs before it arrived at my borders and I managed to kill it at the cost of most my army.

Skeletons can also upgrade into Spectres and then upgrade to a Wraith if they get enough experience.

If you're playing the current beta of my mod, then you're likely seeing this occur more often due to some experimental Barbarian AI.

I want to go through my old save files and find a screenshot of the event "Calabim refugees are seeking sanctuary in the Clan city of Pain."

Now that's just going from bad to worse.

World's worst start.

(A regen put me between Bannor and Donviello. World's second worst start)

I actually don't think it is a bad start at all! For instance, move one square up (West) and build a city, you have two sea resources, 6 flood plains, and three hills, along with the starting hill! That can be a production monster, especially for settlers and workers, but with 3 hills, anything! You just need some happiness ...

Moving west 2 may be even better. Also, consider starting one west of your scout, and you have flood plains and hills going through the wazoo!

Best wishes,

Breunor

"After battle, we have taken a Acheron the Red Dragon... as a Slave."

Not necessarily unusual, but funny to see.

Someday I'll do this as the Donvellio and upgrade the slave into an Immortal.

So Bambur and some Luchuirp were heading towards one of my border cities. I had intended for some spectres to welcome him and give Rosier some more favourable odds.

If you've ever wondered why the game says "Chance of victory <0.1%" instead of just "0%"... Well.

The worst part about that, is that he'll be dead in 2 turns.

One turn. Didn't get to spend a single point of experience. Sigh.

I spend all these years waiting for something interesting to take a screenshot of, then I get two in one day.

Charadon settled on turn 2. I know this because I met him on turn one. I noticed his settler didn't have a warrior escort, and his scout was about three tiles away. It felt good. Really good.

Perhaps not what everyone thinks of when they hear the phrase "Charadon rush".

amazing. The so called "worst" early game civ killing off a rusher civ. Nicely done.

Thank you! Although it did feel a bit out of character for Dain. I kind of wish I'd been playing as Valledia; deciding that the Doviello had Outlived Their Usefulness after Mulcarn's death seems just like her.

I know this hasn't been posted in for a while, but this just had to be brought up:

Perpy went Order ??

muahahah

An unexpected opportunity indeed... :hmm:

What modmod is that?

Looks like RiFE or one of it's two continuations (Ashes of Erebus and Rebirth and Legend)

It's RiFE, but with renamed Musketmen and new graphics.
