Furthermore, when you simply edit Gilgamesh to be called David, it doesn't change his religious preference and when you don't have choose religions on, you end up with Hinduism or Buddhism anyways.

I only took the leaderhead from Gilgamesh. Most of the personality was copied from Shaka.

"Xerxes was not the oldest son of Darius ..."
"Xerxes was however the oldest son of Darius."

...AND ATOSSA.

Not the oldest son of Darius, but the oldest that Darius and Atossa had together. Makes perfect sense to me.

1) Jewish Bomb!

2)How did this happen (take a guess)

Ragnar probably started planning the war when Pleased and became Frendly later.

Or you have vassals with whom he is not friendly.

Correct. I was at war with Babylon, and so was my best friend Ragnar. I took a lot of Babylon, and they Capt. to me. Ragnar wasn't quite done yet, and DOW'd. He then started attacking ME, and not Babylon. I have to admit, I cheated. I went back a save, and WB'd the war over with me, and WB'd Babylon to not be a vassle.

And this is (one of the many reasons) why vassal states are so weird...

Once, the world only had 3 religions, and 6 different nations got the missionary random event in two turns... 4 of them Christian (sadly not my state religion). That was a fun game, especially since even though I only had 8 cities added, that was a nice 15 or so extra GPT for the shrine.

1) Gandhi's fast worker has built nothing but roads!

2) Okay, I admit it, I'm insane. :sheep:

3) I was in anarchy, and apparently my maceman was going to take -22 turns to train.

And if you think that I'm doing something @#^*(@$^ wrong, say so in this thread.

I'm betting that Gandhi didn't have Bronze Working to cut down the trees. I'll admit that I'm guilty of getting most of my roads hooked up while waiting on BW.

Silv: I once left an AI with his last city being 1 plainscow, 1 grasslands, and everything else ocean or desert. He decided to pave the desert and churn out tons of explorers.

The next in red says "Your Christian missionary failed to spread (Christianity) in Jefferson!"

I started a game as the Americans by naming my capital after Thomas Jefferson. Those familiar with his religious beliefs may find the above amusing, for Jefferson rejected dogmatic Christianity for a more rationalistic Deism, and produced an Indian or Jeffersonian bible that contains the good sayings of Jesus without miracles or the barbaric history of the Hebrews.

Here's a shot from a scenario I made based on a forum game called World Realism on TWC. In this shot, Holland, who is only in Holland and Lorraine, has conquered a barb city in a weird place...

Civ4ScreenShot0105-1.jpg

Kinda weird they would go all the way across the ocean to get there. How'd they get there that fast, even? The city only was around for about 15 turns before Holland got it, and they only had galleys...

Havelock Vetinari should be near the top. :)

Can you post a link to that mod? (If it's publicly available)

Not funny, so much as silly on my part.

Spoiler :

I was playing a culture game. Went Hindu for diplomacy, then founded Confucianism and Taoism, and was happy. Three religions is enough for a culture game. Qin was blocked in with only one city when he founded Christianity, so he sent his free missionary to me, giving me four religions. Then I got asked to help war on Hammarabi, and took two cities that had Buddhism and Judaism.

When I realized I had 6 religions, of course I had to beeline Divine Right so I could have all 7. Then for extra lulz, converted every city.

FYI: Failure rate for spreading the 7th religion in a city is really high. :p
