Future Tech??

Has anyone been able to get a decent # of points from this stuff? Whenever I do future tech it increases my score like .5, even after researching several of them - useless!

Welcome to the forums, and future techs are worthless.

You can find some of this stuff by beginning to use the search function that is now reactivated. On the average, we have a new post asking this question about Future techs once every 3 to 5 weeks.

You may want to open the strategy articles forum and just read down through some of the top articles listed there. They will change your whole outlook on the game.

its normally better to create specialists than spend the moeny getting future techs

Future techs are pretty much worthless now, since the game is usually over by then.

i been playing since Civ 3 came out and i had never reached them once... never even gotten to the last few modern techs.

I find that the last few techs are useless. My money is almost always better spent rushing units or city improvements.

Apart from the techs that allow you to build SS parts, the only advanced tech I *might* consider researching is Stealth. And I'm not even sure about that one, since stealth fighters are useless.

You start to research them after you finish Itergrated Defense. Like cracker said, they are pointless.

Yeah. I had reserached 63 future techs (due in part to Cyberman's Trainer I downloaded) and all I got was 11 points towards my score.

This illustrates the point in an excellent way, future techs are useless....

Ever since the first Civ, future tech to me means time to pile up
the dough, and then when enough is there, be very mean to
the AI.
