ooh - so many possibilities!!

Both China and Arabia have the fast knights. Celts have the fast swords. Iroquois have the MW. Rome has a slow attacker, but they are cheap and you need no spears (like you really do with iroquois) Zulu might be interesting - spears for pillaging.

Eqypt has the great war chariot - Hittittes chariot is expensive, but you don't need spears.

Speaking of Egypt, Japan starts with The Wheel, so you can make sure you have horses in your start. For kicks, do it as America and don't declare war until you have an F-16 or something.

It's a large map, so the knight replacements have a shot - it's probable that the latter AI's will get pikes.

The Cav replacements are fun, but I think come too late to be for a civ that wins - that's 7 techs into the MA, as opposed to 3. On the other hand, Sipahi could sweep well.

China, in particular, is interesting - cheap barracks, fast workers, riders are really fast, more elites.

Maybe I am just too optimistic, as this is going to be my second Demi-God match.

First attempt didn't go so well - lost track of my treasury so my granary disbanded Tried as Arabia - love those Ansars.
