Hello and welcome to the latest G-III gauntlet challenge!

For those of you out there that like messing with the big boys, this one's for you!

Huge Deity Domination!

As always, in order to qualify for the gauntlet the games must be submitted by the deadline: March 15, 2009. The Ides of March, will it be the end for Ceasar? I'd make a ridiculous rule about you must be Rome, but I'll leave that up to you. Good luck everyone!

Oh my! How much research will one need for this type of game? I'd think either the Celts or the Iroquois on this one. Although, the current record belongs to the Maya.

Problem with China comes as that you'll need to cover a lot of territory, so either you keep towns and hope they don't flip, or you raze and replace... in which case you need a lot of settlers. Then again, if get the ToA early enough, you might have a good enough cultural position to minimize flip risk.

China sounds good. Just fill the map amply with AI civs, so you'll have a lot of cities to capture, and so the individual AI empires don't come too large and spread out. Leo's Workshop sounds like a good (the?) wonder to have although I am not sure how exactly one would go about getting that one easily in C3C. This type of game just screams for heavy upgrading.

And there should be plenty of time between just having a sufficiently large military and reaching domination to use cash for rushing settler from captured AI towns (and if need be to join slaves).

Almost a pity I can't participate.

That's pretty clear: Republic slingshot->Chivalry->turn off research and use horse->knight upgrade via connect/disconnect iron trick.

Wonder which civ is better: industrious with awesome Rider China or Mongols with cheap Keshik and early 2nd settler from goody hut

I'd be worried about flips. Are you assuming that you have enough military to avoid flips in all these new towns? As spoonwood has already said, getting ToA would help I guess.

If I can find the time to give this a go, I'd have to use the Iroquois. Get cracking early on with mounties and they still have a fair chance against pikes.

I'd place more AIs so that they are all a bit more bite-sized. And then only 'worry' about flips during war-time. (I guess it helps against culture if you diligently make the AI fight amongst each other. All those shields that have to go to military won't go to temple, libs etc.)

Shh, no, all our records would be toast if that happened. ;)

Didn't like that one, eh?

No entries received , no medals awarded.

Not the greatest fan of fast domination/conquest here, and Huge maps take a slew of time when you go a warring.
