And as I was working on potty training my sons, it occurred to me . . . the Wipe (your) Bottom Economy! . . . or not. :)

It's any map size/game speed. That suggests that it's independent of Civ, too, since I can't think of something WB that has specifically to do with the Inca over anybody else on a Quick Speed Huge Map. :)

I find BC spaceship launch to be impossible on quick. I'm pretty certain it is a Marathon strategy.

I have been following this thread over the last months.
Today I read the first post again and now I am confused:
    It said Victory condition: Score
Yet bot Kaitzilla and WastinTime have won conquest victories. What gives?

You can't win by Score itself so in this type of game you can win the game by any method but it's the highest score that wins the Gauntlet.

So score victory is not a synonym for time victory, but has a HOF intern meaning? I see.

That's correct - a Time victory is quite different, although also ranked by Score!

How do you generate the eps for that, with chs alone? How do you get the spies in place? Do they sit 5t each time?

    Just a thought:

If colonies have less or equal to 4 cities, you could gift them cities on mainland close to your capital?

I would run Nationhood for the +25% Espionage and Merchanilism to run a free Spy Specialist. 2 Ept for Courthouse + 4 Ept for Spy Specialist +25% Nationhod = 7.5 Ept per City. 200 Cities x 7.5 Ept = 1500 Ept Empire-Wide without Espionage slider.

It should be possible to get at least 2W stealing for each 1E invested into stealing wealth. One should have the Holy City of one's State Religion and that religion in the target city for -25% Espionage discount. One should also have a Stationary Spy for 5t for -50%. It is also possible to. build up some culture in the target city before splitting it off into a colony for about an -25% Espionage discount. So perhaps as much as 3000 Wpt could be stolen for a 1500 Ept investment.

With 16 colonies 3000 Wpt comes to about 185 Wpt per colony. I'm not the colonies are able to provide that much wealth, but only about 67W is needed per Sid's Sushi spread. That would be 5 * 67W = 335W for land spread or 2.5 * 67W = 167.5W for island to island spread. 167.5 to 335 Wpt (10.5 to 21 Wpt per colony) should be well within the amount of wealth that one's colonies could provide.

Of course this assumes colonies close to one's capital to reduce the effect of distance to capital. It should not be hard to have 16 colonies at Espionage distance penalty +25% or less.

In my game, I was easily able to create all colonies with just two cities each.

Big and heartly congratiulations to Kaitzilla and WastinTime. :trophy: :high5: :trophy2nd:

Btw.: Did anybody reveal the "Worker-tactic" already? During my game I found out, that it's possible to lure out defenders from enemy cities "quite effectively" , by positioning a Worker outside of their movement range but in cultural borders  . It's really one of the greatest lol-tactics in CIV, test it yourself, position a Worker like mentioned, watch all defenders but 1 or 2 move out to chase the Worker and capture the city with a handful of troops while the Worker "kites" the moving stack away towards an enemy where it gets slayn. :jesus:

I would have loved to complete this game, really, but RL didn't allow to. I must honestly admit though, that I'd have had no chance against Kaitzilla, because I wouldn't have gone for 400 cities and a strike phase.

Very well done from anybody who completed this Gauntlet. :agree: :salute:

My strategy should work on any speed, just not as well. But, yes, the BC space goal is only for Marathon.

Annoying thing about vassals is they won't take cities in general. You can liberate sometimes and once in a while they'll take other cities. It could be a bug. Should be investigated. In my game, each vassal would take a couple cities and I never figured out why.

No one has mentioned this I've never done it with BtS. I thought it was a vanilla tactic that didn't work any more.
Would be awesome if it worked. Game changing. I'll have to investigate before my BC space race.

Any hint on where our attack stack needs to be for it to work?

The worker lure probably only works with enemy units with the attack script.

I was able to lure a defender out by simply leaving one of its cities that I had captured undefended. An archer defender moved out towards the target city and I wiped it out via the road system.
