Standard Hall of Fame rules (*) still apply, but any games meeting the settings will be counted towards the Gauntlet.

[size=+1](*) Please read the >> HOF rules << BEFORE playing!

double ack!

Ohh. I tend to forget quickly not everyone can play large and huge.
I thought it was combination of epic/culture. Some people doesn't like culture.

I'm hoping to try this one!! Although Epic really has thrown me off course a bit!
Any suggestions for a good leader for this? I was thinking Hats. Good starting techs, warrior rush first 1/2 civs (14 civ map), and then chariot rush a whole bunch of other ones. Capitals make good LC cities after all (mostly). May even capture a holy city (or 3  )

Dabbled into this one. Never played for culture before and did not care to wage war, so the result isn't very impressive. Had some fun nonetheless.

Try Ramesses for a nice wonderspam ;).

You can still charriot rush, and build a ton of wonders.

Hatty is OK but I'd still say Elizabeth or Gandhi are better, you could stilll chariot rush if you want but getting to 9 cities peacefully would also be very possible with minimum required opponents.

Hmm..that seems good. I'd like to try someone else other than Liz though. May give Gandhi a shot :) Pericles is also up there with his UU as well as Zara atm.
Having never played culture or epic, what kind of map type is better for these games? Temperate or Tropical? Or is it something else?

Hmm..but this IS noble  I don't particularly think the AI will be beating me to ANY wonders if I wanted to build one  Just that they do get done faster which may help in a faster CV date I guess.

Yep, Pericles is also a good choice.

Temperate is probably the best I guess, tropical would have too much jungle which takes time to clear.

Playing my first game on Noble. This should be interesting, considering I have to get a Culture win.

Oh, I'm sorry I don't have enough time to compete (Epic and Large is too much for my current time availability).
I'll follow the competition closely, though.

This is how I would play this:

Being noble there should be no problem whatsoever to rush the closest AI with any unit. Then go into peaceful mode. CS sling.
Elizabeth or Gandhi as preferred leaders, Philo trait is a must.
Tons of cottages in the capital (FP rich start, maybe?). A food and hammer rich city to get all GP-artist-points WW built after getting Pyramids (PArthenon and Sistin's are mandatory). A superfood city for a GPFarm.
10-14 cities (as many as the map allows with 2 good food resources in them, their goal being building tempels and popping at least 1 GA each.
Rush to Liberalism as fast as possible, revolt to religion+FS+slavery+OR for 5 turns then to Pacifism+Castes during a specialist triggered GoldenAge. Nationalism as free tech, Hermitage in the best city. Revolt to Mercantilism during TajMahal GoldenAge.
Target finish date between 1200AD and 1400AD.

Good luck everyone!

Finished another game, this time put a little more effort and got a date around 300 years before the first one. Unfortunately didn't bother to check the start file this time and got "map already used" when submitting. Oh well, my bad. I might have pressed "regenerate map" when I started, I can't recall. Is that where that error comes from?

Regenerating the map is perfectly legal for HoF submissions.

You may want ask the HoF staff about this submission error.

Actually, there seems to have been no problem. I had just not seen the "submitted games" page before, and thought when the game read as "not accepted" after my submission that there was something wrong and went to check the start file. Of course, submitting that start file now meant that it was an already used game. So all in all, I'm a big dummy
