Standard Hall of Fame rules (*) still apply, but any games meeting the settings will be counted towards the Gauntlet.

The earliest finish date wins, with score as a tiebreaker.

I've put in three entries so far, two with Gandhi, Oasis, facing Lincoln, Mansa, and Frederick, and Liz, Mansa, Wang Kon, and Frederick. I got finish dates of 1832 AD and 1760 AD, respectively. Then I tried a game with Liz on Lakes, facing Mansa, Gandhi, and Lincoln. I finished that in 1655 AD, although I could have probably saved 15 turns (approx 1580 AD finish) if I had built the Hermitage in my second cottage city instead of my capital.

I tried Oasis at first since I knew it would have a lot of food and floodplains. However, I found that marble, stone, copper, etc. were quite rare, thus greatly slowing build time of cathedrals. Also, while there were plenty of health resources, they were not particularly diverse, and seafood was quite rare.

The Lakes map had much greater variety of resources, although it was more difficult to find a suitable GPFarm.

I believe Liz is better than Gandhi for culture games because she has Financial instead of Spiritual, and because AI Gandhi techs faster/is more willing to trade than any other AI (except Mansa).

The only wonders I built were Pyramids in 25 BC, Sistine Chapel in 600 AD, and Taj Mahal in 1010 AD.

I've put one in. No time for serious tries, just a quick one.

Gandhi, started with 2Corn, Gold, Marble. Peaceful game, 2 opponents.
Bad map, no 2-resources site for even the 4th city.

Farming, then straight to Writing through PH. CSsling 1200BC with 3 cities and settler. Some barb problems cause I have just warriors.
Pyramids 550BC so I won't have any cottages.
6 cities by 400BC, Parthenon.
1AD I get HG,Music,Currency,3Cathedrals,NE.
I have to go Castes for research, but I have so many missionaries, temples and cathedrals to build I permanently stay at slavery. I have the feeling I'm making a mistake.
250AD: Sistine's+MoM.
Liberalism and change to Castes+Pacif+Merc 800AD.

Really bad luck with GPs. Total 19GPs.
GPuse: GS for Academy, GS for Philo, unwanted GPro for Theology (and my 6th religion), GS for Education, GE for Golden Age, GE for Versailles just at the end, 13 GA used as cultural bombs.

Cultural Victory 1xxxAD (first place). 6 cities, 6 religions, 18 cathedrals. Base cpt: 200-135-130. Multipliers 6-5-5. GA bombs 1-7-5.

I've played a quick run-through of this.

Darius, Pangaea, 3 opponents (Gandhi, Hatty, Mansa Musa).
Gems+Pigs+Horses and a couple of floodplains in my capital.
Rushed Gandhi (1640BC) and Hatty (1080BC) with Immortals, taking both capitals and 2nd cities, and eventually razing the Confu Holy City.

3 capitals became Legendary - Persepolis cottaged, Delhi built wonders, Thebes was a super-seafood GP farm.

Alphabet 1880BC
Aesthetics 1080BC
Civil Service 575BC
Music 300BC
Philosophy 75BC
Liberalism 540AD

I had good luck with GPs - I expected to have to run two GP-led golden ages, but popped a couple of far-from-certain GAs early on, and in the end I started the one-man golden age with a Great Artist

I didn't switch civics enough - I probably should have gone to Caste+Pacifism earlier.

Victory 1300AD. 7 cities (plus one junk city on copper and a last-turn culture flip).
4 religions, 12 cathedrals, base cpt after endgame starvation 188-161-88
16 great people - 1 GS for an academy and 15 GA including the free one. Bombed 2-6-6

Thanks. Well played to you too, jesusin.

One of the things that struck me about my game was how much not being Philosophical hurts on Normal Speed - particularly in the final starvation phase. I think I should have tried harder to get cities up to size 19 or 20 (only the GP farm and the capital ever came close), rather than 13 or 14, and then maybe it would have been easier to squeeze out the extra GAs at the end.
