While the general Hall of Fame is an ongoing competition, we like to run time-definite competitions between updates that we call Gauntlets. Standard Hall of Fame rules (*) still apply, but any games meeting the settings will be counted towards the Gauntlet.
(*) Please read the >> HOF rules << BEFORE playing!

Yes, the toughest part of this gauntlet was finding all the AI civs in a reasonable time. Had to send out scouts/horsemen and triremes to far-flung places ASAP.

I think on Quick setting that you cannot depend on taking out "runaway" culture civs. Conquest takes a bit too long on Quick, when your main focuses need to be exploration and faith production, as well. Plus, more often than not, the runaway civs are far away on Smll Continents maps.

On Warlord setting, runaways are usually not that intense, and a good Sacred Sites setup with a caravan/cargo ship to the "runaways" as soon as possible usually can catch it before it is too far ahead.
