While the general Hall of Fame is an ongoing competition, we like to run time-definite competitions between updates that we call Gauntlets. Standard Hall of Fame rules (*) still apply, but any games meeting the settings will be counted towards the Gauntlet.

(*) Please note - there are required opponents!

• Victory Condition: Culture (though all victory conditions must be enabled)
• Difficulty: King
• Map Size: Tiny
• Map Type: Terra
• Speed: Epic
• Leader: Indonesia (Gajah Mada)
• Opponents: Must include Celts (Boudicca), Ethiopia (Haile Selassie), Maya (Pacal)
• Version: SV8
• Date: 1st to 30th June 2022

t196 on my first try. I went Lib to CR and Piety to Reformation. And, in that scenario, it made sense to enhance first. I think I’m going to try one with straight Piety and getting buildings out earlier before enhancing.

Finally I did it! But my result seems to show that I´m not a Hall of Fame player.
I reached Cultural Victory only in round 578. Ethiopia was a (culturally) tough opponent.
It felt like an eternity as it was my first game ever with epic speed.

I tried this a few times.....while I did not uncover the entire map, it sure seemed I was not getting the correct number of city states....just like in that other scenario we had, months back.

Welcome to HOF. Yeah, the secret for lower level CVs is to go Piety for Reformation and pick Sacred Sites to get tourism for religious buildings. You can even kill off one or two civs to eliminate the top 2 culture civs.

Don’t worry about times. Vad or Zen will come up in here with some ridiculous t130 win or something.

Anyway, I hope you stick around for the Gauntlets at the very least. And, if you ask questions, those guys will almost always be willing to give you a lot more information than you thought you needed.

Just learned from the Staff Forum that there is an upgrade in process, and some users may experience issues (depending on your browser's configuration). I have asked for more info, I'll post it here as soon as I get some.
