What do you expect to come from it? Will it be divisive or uniting? Think there will be any big surprises etc?

I expect that the Americans are told again that their hyper-spending programme is a road to hell :D

There's going to some non-committal waffle about creating a new reserve currency.

April fools. They won't reach consensus on any of important maters. France is already threatening with leaving the summit. Obama is on opposite side from EU on how to cope with crisis. They'll just shake hands and smile for photographs.

Rioting? The British are far too polite to start rioting. They would queue up to hit a bobby in the chops and watch the red krovvy flow.

France and Russia will dissagree with everything and everyone. Germany will be ignored by everyone. The US will try to blame the crisis on Europe for not doing what the US tells them to. Britain will declare the meeting a huge success.

There will be the usual protests. Nothing at the meeting will be accomplished. Photos will be taken. Fun will be had by all.

The US will blame the EU for the economic crisis (saying that the EU doesn't do enough) and the other way around (saying that the crisis started in the US).

IMO the Germans are going to be the most unproductive. The Chinese are probably going to lead the way (they have already committed 3.2% of GDP to fiscal stimulus, which is by far the largest stimulus of all G20 nations).

Could you entertain us with what the Czech president of the EU has done to cope with the crisis, compared to what Sarkozy did in the same position?

That is probably right. While I understand to some extent why the government is reluctant to more speding it appears that Merkel, Steinbrück et al. do not have a plan for the reform of financial regulation either. That is both surprising and disappointing. So my hope is on France (though I don't know how convincing their ideas are...but probably better than anything that the US and the UK have to offer).

I wish I was in England. I want to show the wankers (bankers) what I think of them. This is probably the first time I am looking forward to the extreme left smashing a city.
