Game.AIPlay and replay

I believe someone (Keler ?) already asked that last year, but can't seem the find the question, and I don't remember anyone providing an answer.

I do a lot of AI games (you might have noticed), but I do them "manually" by pressing end turn myself: although it takes significantly more time, I prefer doing it that way so that I can follow exactly what happens.
But I was fiddling with some ideas and needed a few fast games for testing purposes, so I tried the console command.

Iirc, when Sullla did one session online last year, when an AI won the game before the set number of turns provided to the command, it triggered the endgame replay screen automatically while the AIs were still playing in the background.
Not so much in my case: if an AI wins before AIPlay ends, I just get the onscreen message "XXX has achieved a Domination Victory" and the AIs continue playing. No endgame graphs or replay for me.
I tried ALT-Q which doesn't work either (you've already been "defeated" when launching AIPlay).

Am I missing something?
No access to the replay means the command has little value. :(

I believe it's Shift-F1 that lets you view the replay at any time (unless the AI is actively autoplaying). Maybe you need to be in debug mode as well, but I don't see why you wouldn't be.

None of the other endgame screens show up but I personally have never needed them. What would you look at, the demos? You can reach them anyway. Maybe there's something I'm not thinking of, though.

If it interests you, my preferred method for these is to do the aiplay in batches, 25-75 turns per command depending on the stage of the game. I can then look around at the status during the breaks and maybe do some turns manually if something really interesting is happening, and then I can usually make sure to hit the finish date manually. There's a small hazard there of the barbs spawning a city in your little area and kicking you out of the game, ruining the trial; it's happened to me a couple of times now, but the incidence is less than 1% of full replays.

By the way, as I tested maps with Raging Barbarians on, this happened all the time.
The fix is to make sure your area is located at x=0, y=0 with only that tile available (I don't know why Sullla often has a 2-tile area surrounded by mountains - one tile is enough).

When your lion spawns, it spawns at that location, and then destroys the barb city.

(I discovered that by accident: I've been consistently placing the observer city at 0,0 for quite some time now, but the second map I tested was from an older file and suddenly I had that barb-city-kicks-you-out issue.)

At that specific location, huh? I've had a one-tile area in the south per normal, but if a barb city shows up there, my lion doesn't replace it. I just get kicked out.

My fix was to put in a number of extra 1-tile icebound islands in the south so that I had options. It didn't work the latest time a barb city spawned, though. My guess was it was because I hadn't revealed the map and thus didn't see the tiles.

If I have more trouble with this, I'll keep what you said in mind. Thanks!
