game crashing

can anyone help with this problem, have just reloaded civ onto my new computer, but as soon as i try to run the game, its crashes within 10 seconds with the following error message, can anyone help???

"Error loading font (Error Code: 28)!!"

Rename in folder 'conquests' file LSANS.fot in 'whatelse.fot' ...and play
