The full thread is here.

The bare bones is that the game hits turn 343, goes into a "Please Wait" and just sits there turning over. It is impossible to break the cycle. I have tried the suggestions from that thread to no avail.

I am unable to include a save of the game as at 2.02 MB it exceeds the allowance of 2 Mb.

Wish you luck with getting an answer. Sounds very much like the issue I'm having (though I didn't describe it as an endless loop, but it is), it happens between 585 and 586. I've posted up two save games, though it's happened on 3 games now. Never got a response, I'm done playing because knowing that the game will end at that turn is no fun.

I have encountered a multiplayer bug in private games--after about turn 70, the game disconnects other players after every turn and we have to reconnect. Any fix for this in sight? It was a problem for Civ V, too,

I'd recommend starting a new thread about this as it's a very different problem then the one mentioned in the title and OP.

Cicerosaurus, I was just thinking, do you have any mods loaded? If so, which ones? I only have a few but I think maybe one of them might be the problem. I'll cross your list with my list when I get home from work and see if there is a match.

Tilarium, the only Mod I have downloaded on this computer is Hulfgars Modpack.

Oh, there would be the ones that appear themselves which I haven't physically d/l- they just appear when I go to the screen. Would you like a list of those?

No, that's fine, was hoping you would have said you were using the unoffical patch or something. That would have told me it was likely that and I would have run a test game without the patch. If it wasn't turn 585-586 for me I'd run some test games.. first vanilla and then with a couple of mods added in until I found the problem. I'm not going to do that. 2 days testing each, knowing that the game may never get finished, is boring.

Unless anyone has an idea or solution, I'm done with Civ 5 for a while. Sad, I love Civ 5, but if I can never finish a game, there's no point in playing.
