I am running the game on a 333 MHz cpu, have all of the other 'requirements'. Im not too sure about the memory though... Anyway, I can play the game for aroud 20 min, then the game finds something wrong, says that Civ 3 has done something terrible. And tells me to press the close button. This has happened every time I have run the game. On top of that, it is not always the same error. Sound, graphics, you name it, its *****ed about it. Have any other people who try to run the game on the minimum req had these problems? Have you managed to rectify them? Is it possible to delete some files to take a load off my prossesor without messing up the game? If so, tell me what to delete!

BTW, I have had the crash on both standard and small map sizes, and I switch off all of the animations that can be switched off. However, those workers are annoying, any way to switch them off?

:goodjob: For helping me! I really learned a lot from our conversation!:p

To whom it may concern: I gave my virtual memory a kick in the rear... Im gonna install some new memory (hardware) soon.

All hail Pharaoh!

Maybe Civ3 is conflicting with another program you are running in the backgroud. Press [Ctrl]-[Alt]-[Del] and look at the list of running programs it shows. Anything other than “Explorer” and “Systray” can be closed with the End Task command. Do this when you first turn on your computer, before you boot Civ3, and maybe it will run better.

Please quote the exact error message you are getting. That way we can see if it’s an easy-to-solve problem, or some twisted, arcane, electronic knot.

If nothing else, ask :jesus:, He can help. Say you’ll worship His heavenly splendor forever. Give Him your life; I gave Him mine, but now it’s gone to the :flamedevi.
