Is there a game manual available for Civilization III? I don't know how to do some things and the civiloepedia (sp?) isn't always very helpful.

I have found that this website, when used properly, has things you won't find in the manual. It also has live feedback from people that know and love Civilization. That feedback can elevate your gameplay in a hurry. You might, for example, go from struggling at warlord level to mastering monarch level in 3 months, or an even higher level.

There's a pdf manual in folder called 'manual' which should be in your game folder or at least on the game cd.

This is true. Reading the manual is a waste of time compared to reading the stuff here and asking questions. If anything, you should only read the manual to understand the food/shields/commerce thing in the city pop up menu.

Also, the manual is often dead wrong on certain things that were changed at the last minute. I'd say the in-game tutorial is best for the basics; anything else is best learned here.
