The Byzantine Empire rules over the Balkans, Anatolia and the Middle East. It is wealthy and has a huge army, but also many enemies. So Emperor Christos CC (200 in Latin) decides to invade Iraq, where Saddam Hussein helps Muslim Extremists to make attacks against the Empire.

All North African infiltrators in the Spanish Navy turn out to actually be double agents and help the Spanish forces to defeat the resisting enemies, being rewarded for their support of the true monarchy.

Invasion of Iraq:

Christos decides to begin the invasion by a two (2) weeks long aerial bombardment. Saddam's Air Force was wiped out in an surprise attack against most of the Iraqi airfileds. The Sky was clear from the enemy. 88,500 tons of bombs were used against Saddam, as he moved from one Palace to an other to escape. Now, Christos prepares a huge land invasion of Iraq with more than 800,000 troops.

Balkans War:

Christos, learning of the invasion, mobilizes an army of 230,000 men and sends them against the Tartar hordes. While the enemy outnumbers the Byzantines almost 3 to 1, the Byzantines are better trained and have better technology. So, they manage to defeat the Tartars and push that back to Russia. However, victory came at a huge cost, as 120,000 men died and most of the Balkans were destroyed.

Takeover of Iraq:

Before Persia could react, 600,000 Byzantine troops invaded the country and took it over (Iraq). After such a bombarment, the Iraqi troops were so scared that they surrendered without a fight. Meanwhile, the Byzantines crushed Iraqi resistance in Baghdad, but Al Qaeda sends Osama Bin Laden with troops to fight the Byzantines.

Our troops invaded and took over your client state of Iraq. We did this because Saddam Hussein allowed Al Qaeda to establish training camps in Iraq and bombard Palestine. We could no longer let Terrorists attack our Empire. So we decided to act. At first we tried to co-operate with Saddam to detsroy Al Qaeda, but he refused. So, he proved that his regime was supporting Al Qaeda. We had no choice but to invade. We hope that our two nations will remain in peace.
