Maybe they will leave the Tywin event for the first episode of the next series, although from the trailer posted above it seems that they might not... :)

I have seen the episode 10 script

    Spoiler :
    >the Wildlings are at camp, showering Jon with gifts and the songs of their people
    >Jon smiles, enjoying this valuable cultural experience
    >a cry is heard in the distance
    >suddenly, the camera pans to the thundering stampede of a thousand men on horses
    >we see Stannis driving the men to fight by cracking a flaming whip
    >"FORM RANKS, YOU DOGS"
    >in the distance, Wildling women and children are burning, the soundtrack a high screaming wail
    >"TAKE THE WOMEN FOR OUR THRALLS," Stannis shouts, "FEED THE BABES TO THE FIRES"
    >"Yes," cries Davos, "R'hllor hungers!"
    >Jon looks on, his face grief-stricken
    >"Seven save us," Jon whispers, "he's even making the women and children pay the Iron price!"

    Credits
    >AND WHO
    >ARE YOU

I didn't make that of course

On the last episode, I wanted to see what was happening in King's Landing as well.

The show hasn't done the Wall and Beyond the Wall plot any justice so far, right up until this episode.

The wall is the main reason i originally liked the idea of the series -first episode(s)- but by now i dislike the snow zombies beyond the wall. I dislike all the monsters in this series (dragons most of all). The rest of the plot seems quite basic, a bleaker/more 'realistic' (?) presentation of a medieval society and the usual deaths of the lowborn and many nobles as well.

Can't say i like the series, but it looks better than previous tv shows i had watched (better costumes/scenery/graphic models and replicas).

As for the main human characters... what is that interesting about Cersei (or even Jamie) that warrants centering a book on them? Seems a bit trivial. I do like Tyrion as a character (good actor, same goes for Charles Dance) but again they seem pretty basic as personalities in fiction.

So why have you (and why do you still continue) dedicated so much time to it?

I believe Kyriakos is in denial stage.

You're in love with the series and you don't even know it bro! Pick up the first book and start reading it goddamit.

But even the above would have been a more decent ending..

According to the author, "human heart in conflict with itself is the only thing worth writing about".
And the books aren't "centered" on any one character, goddamnit.

So I guess I am the only one who wasn't a big fan of the last episode? I don't know, it just seemed predictable and unoriginal. I mean there was some cool stuff, perhaps I am complaining on a very high level. But I just didn't find it very gripping. I think it was a mistake to - contrary to the book, just have one episode about the attack instead of having it an on-going fight. But I also understand that they are hard pressed to distill it all into 10 episodes.
And boy I was so sure that the wilding girl would be raped by the coward crow who fled into her hiding place. It was weird to expect GOT to be more sexual and brutal than it was. Probably played on that.
Her neck is intimidating. Like she could spit on my head no matter how tall I am.

In general I must agree with what Kyriakos once said. In the beginning everything seemed very focused and suspenseful, but since the fourth season things kinda drag on. I am missing a sense if direction. Not related to the recent episode. Just a thought.

Reassured me that yes - it is not just in my crazy head. Season 4 is - comparably - a let-down.
That said, I don't think I can stretch "comparably" sufficiently to get the whole picture across.

I'm sure watching 30 minutes of Season 3 highlights probably did not conform to your confirmation bias at all. Have you done the same for Season 4? Is Season 4 even done yet?

I also think you're forgetting how much stuff has happened this season.

i thought it felt waaaaay longer than 66 minutes. it was awesome anyway, especially the callback to littlefinger's comment about some people dying on their own toilet.
