Game commences Wednesday 17th Oct 1800GMT. We'll be playing the other sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays pending availability of all players.

This is a long term game that will be played over 4-6 sessions.

PS. We'll be playing through the gamespy lobby so you'll need an account login direct in Civ4. I'll PM the passwords to you on here. Plus this is the originial game with only the official online update you get when you enter gamespy lobbies with no additional mods or add ons.

hhmm I'll test this in an hour...but I'm pretty sure you can save there.

Direct IP is just a lot of messing. My IP address changes everytime I start my router. Plus there's port forwarding and stuff that just takes up time.

Gamespy is no messing. Into the lobby with the password I'll be sending to you, click on the name of the game and you're off.

I'll post back up my results of saving a game in gamespy in an hour or so...

Ok just tested saving and re-loading a game in gamespy lobby and it worked fine.

I think the UK is still in BST not in GMT. Maybe Are you in the same time zone? I always thought Ireland was and changed on the same day. If so do you mean GMT or BST?

Anyway I would usually be interested. But I am going to be busy this Wednesday and Sunday I have played this and other games through Gamespy before and its pretty easy. But when you have finished with this first game please post again and I'll try and sign up. Normally I would be free on Sunday and most evenings. 6 is pretty early for me. I would usually be just arriving back from work then. 6:30 is a much better start time for me but I could try

I'm just going by the www.timeticker.com site so not completely sure about BST and GMT differences

But in our time zone it just says 'GMT'. All other zones are 'GMT+2', 'GMT+6' etc so it's pretty easy to gather the time difference that way.

And I'm sure I'll be having many games after this one so you're more than welcome to join those.
