Tonight I had a wonderful time playing a one city challenge with flossyplayer, USfp, olaf and 1 other players which i have forgotten the name at the moment. I played peter, it was a tiny balanced map, so there was quite some war early. I was in the middle so that was quite a hard time, allthough the most warmongering did come from myself. I managed to pick out china and nearly olaf playing england. Olaf and I decided not to war again untill 1000 AD to build up cities.

When I got cossacks I destroyed USfp, who had a bad starting position. Funny thing; flossyplayer came with cavalry to me just 5 turns after I had military tradition :-).

But it was over for me then. England had a great start, and had redcoats so I couldnt possibly attack them. However, when I got a combined army of grenadiers, cannon and cossacks, it was too late allready and had to retreat. Flossyplayer and the england player didnt attack me yet, though I was right in the middle of them. They could have easily, so I wondered what to do in the mean time.

So I decided to go for physics to get the free scientist. But other then the GS, something even better showed up: uranium!

So keeping myself very quiet, and hoping they wouldnt attack me, I beelined fission and then rocketry. It was around 1950 when I timed to finish the manhattan project and the getting rocketry on the same turn. In 3 turns my first nuke was done, and a 3 turns later my 2nd. Obviously they would come with their armies now!
But just as my 2nd nuke was done, I hit them both on each capital, before my capital was destroyed by their armies! This was the first time I ever used a nuke against another player in multiplayer and it was so absolutely worth it! :-D
