Okay. No turnlog, but I have a long list of events.

-Harun Denounced us early on. Well, that puts a DoF out of the picture. Bought Cerro de Potosi (The Gold-Producing Super Natural Wonder).
-Met England (2nd Overall, Behind Us ) and Egypt (Is about to be crushed by England)
-Declared on Hiawatha after denouncing him, naturally, he wasn't a happy guy.
-Crushed three of his cities without taking a single loss
-Arabia Declared on Hiawatha as well.
-The Russians were building up troops on our borders (well, we can't let them do that, so I built up our forces too.
-We have to choose a SP.
-We're researching Magnetism so we can start researching the Industrial Age techs.
-We have the Score lead at last!
-Aannd, my pics aren't working, dang it!

Ok, I grabbed the save and am looking at it now. (Don't get of work for a couple hours yet though)

Crikey the Glorious Indian Empire is huge!

What are the thoughts for our direction from here?

-Should I take Representation for the policy boost or start up another tree somewhere?
-Would we like to continue against Hiawatha?
-Are we starting in on Russia now too/instead?

I can't exactly remember where we are in social policies. I can't look at the save now though...

For the Iroquois, if Hiawatha is sufficiently crippled and there are no cities worth taking still I believe we should just take as much gold as he deems his continued existence worth and move on. Our next target should be the least-liked among the remaining three.

From what I can see;
-Ottomans only have the 1 city (capitol), are friendly, and poor
-Both Arabia & Russia have denounced us, have several cities each and lots of goodies
-Iroquois are pretty much out of the game at this point with 2 garbage cities left

I also note that in the "foreign land" we have
-Egypt, friendly, Capitol + 5 cities, low-ish score but looks in decent shape
-England friendly, score same as ours, making tons of cash and i see Beshbalik and Turfan in her cities list meaning she's whomping on an unmet Mongolia.

I was going to play my turns tonight but a) had to find where saves/screenies are kept, how to take screens, how to get into my photobucket again, etc and b) I was awaiting some input on what direction we wanted to head first.

Oks so a quick scan through and my thoughts.

Delhi should get a Circus next.
Mumbai should get a bank after the Workshop.
Vijay either a Uni so we can build Oxford or the Sistine Chaple for faster SPs. Maybe a Caravel before either of these though.
Pata has an unassigned citizen. Get him down on a production tile. Maybe a Windmill here next?
Vara has 2 unassigned citizens! Get them in the Uni ASAP! After the Workshop a Colossium would be good so we can build the Circus Maximus.

Get as many worker as possiblw down to the new territories and start TPing them.

On the SP front I'd say Freedom followed by Civil Socity then we can start on Rationalism. Once the Freedom SPs are in then start filling out the spec slots that fit a cities uses.

On the tech front how about Dynamite then the run up to Bio?

Diplo wise just keep the new AIs on side and trade with them before we take any sides. Could be a chance to finally sign some RAs!

I agree with peace with Hiawatha.

Keep an eye on Harun and maybe send a cannon and a couple of rifles up to Monaco incase he trys to get fresh.

A war with Cathy ASAP could work pretty well. Take her core cities and leave here the junk desert city ion the north maybe? We'd need home first though.

Lastly I stupidly installed the new versions of some of my mods and now can't see the extra info I'm used to. Boo! Essecially as civwillard wasn't changed and I can no longer see it.

If Moscow has gotten to 19 at this point with our bonus that city should be a beast. Looks juicy.

I'm going to go for Freedom as well for SP. We need to start running specialists too.

Dial up Hiawatha. This is disappointing - he won't give us anything so I see no reason to make peace currently. I note he's at war with Arabia currently as well so maybe they'll help take him out.

I am veeeeery tempted to just declare on Russia now but Yek up there in our turf with all our cities undefended bothers me a bit . . .

We have a lancer in Monaco, an elephant in Sidon, and a Rifle who seems to be headed that way as well. Why? I have no idea what the plans for these guys is. I'll send them to hang in Monaco for now I guess (though no idea why)

Hmm, economy . .dial up Liz - we have no lux to trade her though she has ~1400g. Dial up Ramses who has ~450 (57/turn) and would buy silver . .ok ok ok. . .

I've been staring at this screen for an hour now . . .what was that saying? Fortune favors the bold?

-Take out sword, longsword, knight outside of Moscow with rifles. 1 LS left on a hill a poor odds will have to wait (i'm sure he'll retreat)
-Kuala fires on an embarked Russian scout
-Seul is sending a Longsword & Pike down to Yek =D

Taking Moscow may be tricky with that river there and it's defensive bonus. I may head to the N side of the city to nab workers and hit it that way. Our cannons are slow moving through forest anyway.

* We have an S-ton of workers btw . .that Lancer I sent north just grabbed another from Yek lol

-Pata bank > cannon (to help take Yek down - plus we're just going to need fresh troops here soon anyway)

-I continue muddling about around Moscow trying to figure out how to get everything in position. This is one of my weaker points I think still. I don't know where the cannons can hit from and can never seem to ground troops posititoned without getting killed before the seige is in place. I *think* 3 cannons can fire next turn and hopefully some of the 3 rifles surrounding moscow will survive to take it . .

-Our former Novgorod force attempts to repel Hanoi invasion. So far so good but our guys are pretty banged up.
-Way up north, I have very nearly managed to take down Yek with a solo Lancer (and hlep from Seoul) I'd almsot love to see Seoul take the place actually lol
-Begin positioning around St Pete and get a cannon shot in.
-Vijay windmill > Uni (should go Sistene next I think, then Oxford in Delhi)

Well, it was ugly but 2 cannon shots and 2 rifle attacks (leaving redline guy for last) took St Pete!

Gaaaah! Cathy comes begging for peace (but won't give anything) There's still the 1 core city left (Rostov?) and then the 2 baby southern garbage cities. I'm figuring we should take Rostov before calling it good with her so I decline even though our troop situation is getting ugly.

Turn 214
Yaa . . .she took out a cannon and rifle there between Moscow & St Pete but I followed up by taking out her 2 units so the region looks clear for now.

Delhi caravel > circus(2) (will finish same time as Uni in other city so Oxford can go next here)
-Sent caravel East towards N arabia. Figure we can get one on the west coast to go west too . .hrmmm . . .
-Purchase Caravel in Vijay

Not much going on, move our dwindling troops towards Rostov for what should be our last Russian capture (imo)

*Throw 250 at Sidon to ally them. They declare on Russia. This may be the edge we needed here.

-We lose the last of our Grand River Forces except the cannon which I sent to garrison. That will be plenty to keep them out anyway.

-Send vijay caravel due west
-I brought that wandering lancer from Monaco down to mop up the injured outside Rostov taking out a redlined musket and capturing yet another worker
-I take out a wandering lolarcher and settler with rifles leaving no viible russian troops.
*Varanasi coloseum > granary? we seem to be going for pop here as prod and gold are meh so . .

Turn 216
- Our Vijay caravel finds Egypt and Old Faithful!
-Delhi circus > Oxford
-Vijay Uni > ??? . .I left this for the next up to choose. We could go Sistene but I think a seaport would be strong here. Could build Sistene and buy seaport in a few though so . . .

Final wrapup: Ok so, I got a couple shots on Rostov but next turn the cannons can fire on it and it should be done for. We can turn on Awksawhatever after that if wanted I suppose.
Our military is getting pretty thin but still plugging along. I managed to take out most of Russia, money is rolling in, we have like 573 workers buildling TPs and roads in the newer acquisitions.
Overall I'd say we're slayin' it

I don't think I borked anything up too badly (though Hanoi could have been handled better) so I'm happy.

I would caution against wiping Hiawatha out as destroying a civ comes with heavy diplo penalties.

Could I ask why we're teching MilSci rather than heading up to Bio? I strongly suggest we don't build Oxford till we can use it to bulb Bio.

Mumbai can speed the bank by 3 turns if it works the engineer spec slot.
In Vijay I would say Sistine now seaport later.
Pata is about production so a Windmill or the Ironworks I guess.
In Vara maybe the National Epic since its going food/GP here.

Consider burning the spar GG on a golden age IMO.

After Rostov I suggest we make peace with all Catherine as she is dead but just doesn't know it yet.

Hiawatha and Catherine won't give us anything as when they are that beaten they see no point. A strange choice from the devs. Surely you'd do anything to save you last hope of civilisation?!

Oh I also think we should burn Yekat. Its garbage.

Yes, raze Yekat. It's really not worth it I think. Any city that can't be easily grown past 15/has lots of resources should probably get the torch.

Yeah i saw that General just hanging in Delhi somewhere in the middle of my turns and wasn't sure what to do with him. I had sent him north stacked with The Hero of Yek to take that and then . . .just sent him south with the other 2 troops i had headed sorta toward Sidon-ish just to meet up with the rest.

We are on Military Sci because you suggested Dynamite so I set that and MS was a prereq *shrug*

I rarely have any good plan as far as research so don't really understand why we'd go one way or the other. We're blowing stuff up so artillery sounded solid *shrug*

Also recall we have 2 or RA's out (though I know of no way to see when they come up so . .)

Oh yeah, on the war front; I already suggested calling Russia good after Rostov and Hiawatha does have 1 other city . . .somewhere in his list so Awksawhatever is fair game without "wiping" him

Burning Yek is fine with me. I sent workers up to TP it and realized it's nearly all desert It was just bugging me sitting up there in our turf (ocd thang I guess) and was proud to have taken it out with 1 solo unit

You can see when RA come in in the diplo screen under the deals section. If my civwillard was working I could see it on the trade screen a lot more easily.

I can't see another city for Hiawatha on any of the screens. Of course I could just be being blind again

I blame FCOM Convergance. What a nightmare mod to install! Esspecially as the official Oblivion patch won't even run properly

What I meant was on the trade screen and Info Addict he is listen as only having the 1 city. When you open the peace negotiation screen he has no cities to trade. Hence he is down to the one city we can see and no others.
