Are there people interested in a new Immortal University game?

If yes: Start with an easy leader or a more challenging one? What kind of map? etc...

I tried and failed to beat Immortal in the recent GMajor, but had some success with Hannibal/Archipelago, but I underestimated the amount of troops needed for an attack. Hannibal seemed best and archipelago too since I play with barbs on. I'd try a game though.

I'm in. 100% for real now, as all of my "series" games are played at immortal now! In the earlier Immortal U games, I attempted many (though I wasn't ready for immortal yet) and won only two - the second pacal and hannibal (the latter by luck).

Bit more consistent with Imm. U going forward for me though ;).

I'd host it myself but 2 series is enough for me atm hehe.

Edit: Any leader, any map...

I'm interested if you go with an easy leader. Any map will do.

I'll roll up a start later tonight. I'm thinking of playing Hatshepsut; she's one of the easier leaders to play on this level.

Hatty sounds good to me. What mods etc. would I need? I only use the HOF mod at the moment.

I'm not going to use any mods in this game except BUG, so it can be played without any mods.

OK, so you don't need BUG to play it then presumably? I heard the HOF fixed some bugs as well and most people play with an unofficial patch but no mods is fine for me I think, or I might get BUG anyway. Does anyone know if installing bug affects the HOF mod because I play all my other games with it, I think TMIT uses BUG and plays HOF games so he will probably know the answer.

Is the plan to play from the best save again in each round?

BUG and HOF does not go together. The reason i do not have HOF mod.
Sure they can, you just cant run HoF without the MOD actually loaded. I am pretty sure you can run both, check their forums, they have a few very active, helpful people over there. I cant remember the specific guy who posted about running both, but I think its a common question on that forum.

Heres a thread on the topic.

Heres a comment by Emp, he's a developer:
The other option is to change HoF's INI file (the one in the HoF mod folder, next to the Assets folder) so that NoCustomAssets is 1. This will tell Civ to ignore the CustomAssets folder when loading HoF.

As for the IU, I am in, and I am planning to convert the save to Epic speed, and hand-edit the Barbarians their proper techs to make it correct. I suck at Imm, except a few map styles, so I am wide open.

As they said in that thread these are "conflicting modes".

Last time i did customization for them to work properly i needed to reinstall CivIV. I do not like hand editing windows registries.

Several people here seem to prefer Epic over Normal, myself included. Any objections to making the start on Epic speed?

If not, then I'll just ask Bleys for his converted save.

EDIT: Never mind. I'll provide both saves, one at Normal and one at Epic.
