Generic Units and UUs

    So, I was wondering if anyone could please make a list of the generic units and the UUs for the sake of simplicity and easier readability. Thanks. Really appreciate it. Also, if someone could list which units are fully completed; and which need graphics, pedia entries, or strategy tips. I could help fill in the pedia entries and strategy tips that are missing.

    Note: Some of the units have graphics shown in other threads. Please look at the other threads for those graphics.

    I'll start with the unit categories below and copy some unit names from other threads and the Beta 1 Patch 2 Civilopedia. I also have put notes underneath the religions which civilizations I think are more suited to each religion. Correct me if I'm wrong.


    Divine Units:

    Pelor
    • Sun - Missionary
    • Brilliant Strength - Leader
    • Radiant Servant - Melee unit
    • Pelorian Paladin - Paladin unit
    Any Human civ but Thay, Matsujima, and Hazelfire are well suited to this religion.

    Nerullicism
    • Life Cutter - Missionary
    • The Chosen One of Nerull - Leader (a.k.a. Chosen One for short.)
    • Reaper's Child - Melee Unit
    • Midnight Darkness - Paladin
    Thay is one civ that is well suited to this religion.

    Tel'Seldarine (Elf)
    • Feywarden of Corellon Larethian - Missionary (a.k.a. Feywarden for short.)
    • ?? - Leader
    • Corellon's Rain - Archer unit, replaces melee unit
    • Order of the Bow - Archer unit, replaces Paladin

    Dark Seldarine (Drow)
    • Arachne - Missionary (female)
    • Matron Mother - Leader (female)
    • Handmaiden of the Spider Queen - melee unit (female)
    • Order of Soul Spiders - Paladin

    Heironeanism
    • Warpriest - Missionary
    • Archpaladin - Leader
    • Shining Blade - Melee Unit
    • Knight of the Chalice - Paladin
    Paladorn is best suited to this relgion. Although other human civs are as well.

    Hextorianism
    • Discordian - Missionary
    • Patriarch-General - Leader
    • Fist - Melee Unit
    • Blackguard - Paladin
    Ungdu, the Silver March Lizardfolk, and the Ghashmog Goblins are well suited to this religion.

    Morndinsamman (Dwarf)
    • Sonnlinor - Missionary
    • High Forgesmiths - Leader
    • Justice Hammer - Melee Unit
    • Hammers of Moradin - Paladin

    The One-Eye (Orc)
    • Lazguoi - Missionary
    • Right Eye - Leader
    • Eye - Melee Unit
    • Tusks of the Unblinking Eye - Paladin

    Below are the Civilizations and their UUs that are currently implemented into D2 Beta 1 Patch 2. If someone could please list the UUs that will be implemented in Beta 2, I would appreciate it. Note that the civs are divided into six races; namely Elves (further divided into Dark Elves and normal Elves), Lizardfolk, Orcs, Goblins, Humans, and Dwarves (further divided into Duergar [Dark Dwarves] and normal Dwarves).

    Kalagori Elves:

    • Gold Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Bladedancer, replaces Warrior

    Runehaven Elves:

    • Bladedancer, replaces Warrior

    Wildarrow Elves:

    • Bladedancer, replaces Warrior

    Drow (a.k.a. Dark Elves):

    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • War Spider, replaces War Elephant and requires Ivory

    Silver March Lizardfolk:

    • Blowgunner, replaces Archer
    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • War Saurus, replaces War Elephant and requires Ivory
    • Ballista Saurus, replaces Ballista Elephant and requires Ivory

    Black Orcs:

    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Warg Rider, replaces Horsemen and has lower strength (2 instead of 4)
    • Knight (like normal Knight but looks like a Warg Rider with a battleaxe)

    Grey Orcs:

    • Warg Rider, replaces Horsemen and has lower strength (2 instead of 4)
    • Knight (like normal Knight but looks like a Warg Rider with a battleaxe)

    Ghashmog Goblins:

    • Blowgunner, replaces Archer has higher strength (4 instead of 3)
    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Wolf Rider, replaces Horsemen and has lower strength (2 instead of 4)
    • Bugbear, replaces Hvy Infantry
    • Hobgoblin Raider, replaces Infantry
    • Hobgoblin Spearfighter, replaces Pikeman

    Warg Goblins:
    • Blowgunner, replaces Archer has higher strength (4 instead of 3)
    • Wolf Rider, replaces Horsemen and has lower strength (2 instead of 4)
    • Bugbear, replaces Hvy Infantry
    • Hobgoblin Raider, replaces Infantry
    • Hobgoblin Spearfighter, replaces Pikeman

    Tang Zul Goblins:

    • Blowgunner, replaces Archer has higher strength (4 instead of 3)
    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Spider Rider, replaces Horsemen and starts with poisoned blade
    • Bugbear, replaces Hvy Infantry
    • Hobgoblin Raider, replaces Infantry
    • Hobgoblin Spearfighter, replaces Pikeman

    Hazelfire:

    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Fast Worker, replaces Worker and has 3 movement instead of 2

    Matsujima:

    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Samurai, replaces Hvy Infantry

    Furn:

    • Gold Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Praetorian, has strength of 10

    Isendorf:

    No UUs

    Paladorn:

    • Gold Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Landsknecht, replaces Pikeman

    Sundabar:

    • Gold Dragon, replaces Red Dragon

    Jihish:

    • Gold Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Camel Archer, has strength of 6

    Osterlands:

    • Beserker, replaces Infantry and starts with amphibious

    Thay:

    No UUs

    Ungdu:

    • Dog Soldier, replaces Infantry

    Wei:

    • Gold Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Cho-Ko-Nu, replaces Crossbowman

    Mithrilcraft Clan:

    • Thundertusk Cavalry, replaces Horseman

    Ironfist Clan (a.k.a. Duergar):

    • Black Dragon, replaces Red Dragon
    • Thundertusk Cavalry, replaces Horseman

    Rock Clan:

    • Thundertusk Cavalry, replaces Horseman

    Stonecutter Clan:

    In beta 2 (completed):
    Raiders will replace infantry for the orcs
    Wraith unit is added. This unit will be summonable only (and possibly barbarian)
    Slave unit added for all civs
    Slave Soldier added for Drow (replaces Slave)

    Other units are planned for Beta 2, I'll let you know when they are completed.

    Ok. Cool. Thanks for correctin my errors and addin the current Beta 2 units. I like the sound of the Slave Soldier a lot.
