What exactly counts as commerce from trade for the third Genoan UHV?

I sold an excess wine to England for 8 GPT, but the "Current import and export" number in the Victory Conditions screen didn't change.

The description is a little misleading. It's not really about resources, but commerce from trade routes.

You just have to be first in import/export ranking. It's quite easy, since IA would not open borders with anyone else as you can do, so just open borders, be diplomatic, and rush to arabic knowledge for the +1 trade route per city.

It's a tricky goal. I keep getting massively beaten by France and England.

How is that possible? You have so much time to go for the islands and switch to civics that can help you with your goal.

I tested out this thing, and all seems to be nice. its 1570 and i just got my golden age where i can witch to trade economy to secure my third uhv. If we make those provinces contested its absolutely possible. I have to admit, Genoa is really easy in terms of uhvs. but we could figure out some challenges for them!

In one of my genoan games it was just impossible to win for me. I saw 1590 that england was overwhelming me, so i took a couple of cities from burgundy and aragon (in italy), and after managing not to collapse, i switched to manorialism by around 1620, in order to make england switch and reduce their trade routes (they wanted like 1.5k, lol). Then in 1634 i switched back to convenient civics (merchant republic, trade economy), but they was way higher than me in that ranking. Anyway it seems strange, maybe i didn't get the dynamics behind it, since in a couple of games in 1.5 i managed to win without making anybody switch civics (and i was way stronger than the second one)
