Get out of my territory!

A little long winded but I get your point. I a not sure what the reason or solution is. I get something similar.
Big neighbor is in my lands, ask to leave he either ignores or I have to go to war.
I enter his territory, he tells me to leave or I have to go to war.
I tried a stunt were we both were encroaching. He contacted me and I wound up being forced to declare war. Problem was then I was then looked down upon by other nations.
I tired to force the issue and lost. There should be a dipolmatic choice, you get out and we get out, immediatly.

AWAD- lost many trades due to that

Hmm, Americans in Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, Suadi Arabia and now Afghanistan. Why yes sir, it looks like having a big military means you go where ever the hell you want and to the Abyss with anyone who gets in your way...

Very realistic of you, Sid.

But really, even little guys insist on "sneaking" forces through borders (much like Mexican day labourers). I'd take out their transports with privateers but they NEVER win, even against Triremes they get blown out the water (by arrows). What is the point having such a useless unit in the game? It's like a naval warrior that costs many shields to build.

Try fortifieing your entire border with mech. infantry in fortresses, like to see the AI not notice a border like that.

Or if they insist on pulling crap like that, launch your nukes and let God sort it out.

The computer always seem to have a choise wether to pose the ultimatum or beg nicely. I had the larger military by far, and wandered into a smaller neighbour, and she forced me to leave or declare war. After a few tries I realised that a single unit resulted in her asking, and multiple resulted in ultimatum.

It would be nice if you could chose wether to pose the ultimatum or ask nicely. There should also be a mutual variant, we leave and you leave (ultimatum and polite variant).

If convienient you've got to create a human wall of units. Yes, this means stacking a wall of units just to keep them from entering your borders. I was playing a tiny world just 2 civs and the enemy was very predictable. The SECOND I'd remove one unit from my "Wall" I'd see the settler and spearmen come heading my way and enter my space. Then the next turn I'll recreate the wall and it would turn back. EVERY time I'd move a person, here comes that settler bastard! It was quite humourous too. Eventually it decided to use a ship!!! Which I basically tagged until it settled past my enclave. Great, the enemy is expanding for me since I was busy building culture and science, he would start a city way far from his capital and on my side of the island. So after a bit, I'd just take it over and declare peace and grab his workers..

Wouldn't it be cool if you could actually build stone walls across the land, with your workers? You could create a real great wall.

Aestetically, you could build a wall of fortresses, but unfortunately, they don't really act as a wall but it'll sure look like one!! :)
