    Hi guys,

Has anyone seen this one before? I'm getting a weird crash when I try to gift an AI one of my units (see pic below).

It mentions max units but this is pretty early game and the computers and I don't have much yet. The AI I'm giving it to only has a size 4 city with 2 units in it. The msg also contains an address link that doesn't exist, there's no Ss folder on my D drive lol (yes I have hidden turned on).

I'm using a fresh install of Civ2 MGE with the official update 3 patch, and the Civ2UIA patcher which includes the 64bit patch as I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

Just installed Civ2 MGE on a XP virtual machine and sure enough I was able to gift units just fine (using the same savegame). Guess I'll have to switch over to that version whenever I want to gift a unit.

    Hi!
Could you attach savegame and provide steps to reproduce error?

Hi FoxAhead, I didn't expect to attract the attention of the UIA creator himself, so thanks! :)

    Yup, sure thing:
Load this American a380 savegame, contact the french, ignore their demands, accept peace (I've got great wall), offer them a gift, select unit gift, select city (I think all will cause problems but go with Dansville to be sure), BAM! Crashes!
If I load this save in a XP virtual machine the gifting works just fine.

Also interestingly in my later game unit gifting has stopped crashing however when I select Dansville the Zulu AI capital's units appear instead of mine and I can literally gift one of his units to the French instead of my own hahahaha. Kind of awesome as I gave the struggling French a whole bunch of Zulu Legions to fight the bullying Mongols hahaha. Once again whenb I loaded the save in the XP virtual machine gifting worked normally and I was able to give one of MY units. Sadly I can't give a example save of that issue atm as everyone hates me lol. No one's excepting unit gifts from me. Should that change and I can reproduce it I'll attached that too.

    EDIT:
Here we go, here's an American a770 save where if you contact the french, accept all their demands (declare on mongols & give invention), offer them a gift, select unit gift, select city (go with Dansville to be sure), and up comes several English units in their city of York lol. Note there are more weird formula errors on top of the box too.

    Blake00,
that was bug in Civ2UIA. The problem was in units popup dialog which is called from different places including gifting procedure. I didn't tested gifting so I overlooked that error.
I made a fix. You can download new version of Civ2UIA (1.10.0.60).
