Let me start by saying I think Angelina Jolie is a remarkable actor. That last movie of hers, Salt, which had a trainwreck of a plot and redonkulous stunt work was just barely saved by her ability to take atrocious dialog and somehow fashion a believable, sympathetic character out of it.

But that said, I don't think she's even remotely attractive. From her discernably fake bewbies to her pufferfish lips. I mean, I guess she's pretty enough from an all-God's-creatures-are-beautiful sort of way. But I just don't get how people go all loopy about how hot she's supposed to be.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but to me there's something intrinsically unattractive about someone who perpetually looks like she just smoked through her boyfriend's stash and then conked her noodle on the door frame on her way out to grab some munchies. Not that she doesn't look like she could use some sort of artificial appetite enhancer.

And how does one go about discerning this? You are, apparently, the expert.

Anyway, I never really understood the tall, tanned, blond and stick-thin = highly attractive thing. I mean, such a person can be attractive, but the whole tick-box, beauty-by-committee thing is just plain weird to me. It seems to be dying off a bit, though, if only to allow a slightly greater variety of hair colours and skin tones. That's why I'd say Katy Perry is attractive, as it happens- she looks like an actual human being, not just a CG-render of some average ideal...

Also, these "looks like a man" comments? Some people don't seem very secure in their sexuality.
