GL from Artilery

If you select lethal bombard for your land based artilery, it is possible to gain GL from them.

This hapened during a game earlier today. I enabled the option and was testing results when I killed a Greek UU, and a Gl appeared. I have seen arty being promoted before and didn't give it much notice. I assumed it was just like ships and planes, they top out at elite.

The implication is that GL can be created without fear of losing elites.

yup, ain't it grand??? now what I wonder is what if a battleship or a bomber was elite and won a battle??? interesting possibilities.

A leader will be created but you won't know since he does not know how to swim and died as soon as he appeared. Poor thing!
In the case of a bomber he will probably die from falling from a great height.

That is the funnist thing I have heard about civ3 for a loooooong time!
