what does global warming do cause in the end of my game im getting awhole bunch of messages saying global warming has struck near city X but i don't see any effects. someone please educate me
It would be better if Ice melted on sea and Tundra changed to Grassland. Oh, and tiles were lost to the sea. I have yet to use Nukes in a game, and as such have no problem with Global Warming.
This has been mentioned about million times, but why why why do nukes cause global warming? Is it possible that any of the developers has not ever heard the concept of "nuclear winter". Tiles shoud change to ice (that would even have the same effect as changing them to desert!).
anglosaxon, also nuclear plant meltdowns cause global warming..
It does not matter where the nukes are launched; as said, its global warming. Only time i've got that in a real game had some other civs nuclear plant meltdown.

As far as I know, Global warming will happen most likely inside the borders of a player who has launched nuke(s).
So if one of the AI players launches ten nukes to your cities in the other side of the world, it is in the AIs land that global warming will happen first.
It seems to me that the game designers are overlooking the positive elements of global warming: more floodplains, more grassland, less ice at the poles, more jungle...
