Gmail Spam!

Well first of all, don't click on them. Common sense right there.

Second, check mark them and click Report as Spam.

Beyond that I dunno, I've never had more than a few spam e-mails and that was only on (both actually but only for a few weeks and they went away) hotmail accounts.

Also if theres pictures dont look at them. If you do they can tell you opened the email something to do with loading it from the server. If you dont open the pictures they would never know.

If you view the email it can tell them. Really, your best solution is to just do what PrinceScamp suggested. Mark them as spam, send them to spam. Gmail should learn to pick up more of them as time goes on.

A very good idea would be to keep one e-mail for, you know, e-mail, and another account to receive spam.

With the actual e-mail account you would e-mail your friends, contacts, whatever; with the other you sign up for newsletters, put it in to register for sites, etc. This is a safety precaution, as some sites that you register for may send you spam, especially surveys and survey sites, use a seperate throwaway e-mail for those :D

Today, I get lots of them, but all were deleted. Thank you everybody, maybe this is a worm on my computer. :(
There are no pictures in them, just a stupid description and malicious links.

No, these spams are malware! But yes, I thought about that. Maybe I'll register a new e-mail elsewhere. :)

No, they're just spam. Its good that you're careful about them, but I feel the need to clear up any misconceptions. Just keep your antivirus and antimalware up to date and you'll be fine.

Well several ways to get it
First if you post your email anywhere online a spambot can harvest it.
Second is that a newsletter or online membership will sell it
Third is that even if you do neither of the above theres a method called the dictionary method or something like that where they go through every letter of the alphabet.

Tip. I recommend this for registering for dodgy sites. Ive been using it atually because on a forum im on Gmail is blocked as antispam. It will autoforward to your main email.

@aimee congratulation on getting better! My computer doesn't get viruses so I don't worry
try infiltrating my 64-bit kext stupid malware

Strange. It looks like, my spam problem solved. I didn't get spam about 7-8 hours! :D:D:D
Maybe it was only a virus/worm on my computer, because yesterday, I ran an antivirus software and it found 4 strange viruses. All of them were fixed, and for today, I just get a few spams, I deleted them, and now, I don't have spams! :)

Yes, but they're scary. I never get spam before. :(

Yes you have. Probably several million pieces of email over the life of your email account. You dont see 95% of it because it gets filtered before it even gets to your inbox. Thats the thing about spam -- there's a lot of it, and there's no way to get rid of it 100%
