Yo check out this gnome, get gnomed on. I made a brand new unique unit for the elves. The garden gnome. The garden gnome is similar to the dwarf, except he cannot walk on impassable terrain or build tunnels. However he does have engineering capabilities and treats all squares as road. The E gnome has a full walk, idle and death animation(but no attack as he is a non combatant). Technically gnomes don't die. They just return to their other dimension when killed. SO his death animation is of him falling through a magical portal. I plan to add other units to this one.
Skeleton Champion for the Stygians
Some kind of massive beast for the Goblins
A steampunk golem for the humans/infidels/elves(an all around tank unit for late game conquest for underworld and underwater conquest)
and a new angelic unit for the buteos

Ahh well done! After our initial chat over in the ToTPP thread I was hoping you'd post your results! :)

I know it'll probably take a bit of fiddling but if you stick your spr animation source frames into a gif file everyone here would better be able to see the beauty of your 3D character animation work.

Also I'm sure folks and future modders will also be curious to hear about your process eg creating the 3D model in Unreal, what you exported it to and created the downsized frames with, to import into @Mercator 's CivSprite2.

@Civinator

oh, yes, gif file is good idea. I will do that for next post.
As for my process I think I will make a video on it eventually.
Though i have been using civ sprite and not civ sprite 2 (I couldn't find a tutorial on how to use civ sprite 2 so I just kept using civ sprite 1)

Oh god, nah man the new one is so much better and easier to use once you figure it out. Using the old one is just making life harder on yourself and it doesn't give you the animation controls the new one does. I talk about how to use version 2 in my post that I linked you to over in the ToTPP thread, I talk about how to extract and re-insert files, and I link to Mercators version 2 step by step instructions in my post too. The time it'll take you to fully read my post (& Mercators) will be far less than what you're losing using version 1.
