Going to the hall of fame when retirering - thread 2

My brother in law and me played some BtS in the weekend in multiplayer. When we got a bad start we retired and started all over again I found no login in when your score was put in the hall of fame. Sometimes it was the one who left the game first, sometimes it was the one who left the game last, sometimes we both got our score on the hall of fame and sometimes none of us got to the hall of fame, as far as i remember it. It didn't seem to matter who was hosting the game. Is there any logic in who get to get his score to the hall of fame or is it pure luck? Is there any explanation from Fireaxis or ideas from you people to why both players doesn't go to the hall of fame on their respective computers?

Maybe someone can tell me if they expierence the same problem?

i don't know who gets picked as the hall of fame-r in cases like that. but i do know that you can paste hall of fame entries from someone else's computer into your own. that would fix the annoyance when only one of you gets the entry i think, even tho it doesn't answer the root of the issue?

there's a /Replays folder in the same place as your /Saves folder. when only one of you gets the entry, that person should copy it from /Replays and send it to the other one, who pastes it in their own /Replays and bingo it's there! it should work in theory, anyway ... i know that works for singleplayer games.

Well yes, that's one point, and thx for that. Just to be sure no one misunderstand me:

When leaving a multiplayer game, not both points go to the HoF. Mostly, if not everytime, only one of the players get their point into the HoF while the other one is just kicked to the menu. We haven't figured out who gets to go to the HoF. No matter who gets the most points or who leaves first. The results of your game just vanishes

Have you expierenced the same problem?

the root of the problem i can't help you with, sorry, i only play MP once every 6 months or so and never did pay attention. i have a friend who plays often, i'll ask her next time i see her.

there's a multiplayer forum i was gonna refer you to, but you already tried there, months ago, and didn't get any help. shucks! i do hope you figure something out.

OK, but thx for the help anyways. Didn't think about doing what you suggested, but i might do that now that you mention it But it surprices me no one has an answer to this or at least say they are aware of the bug.

well, i did ask my friend. she doesn't know, but she's going to pass the question along, what was her phrase, "higher up the MP ladder" . meaning she'll ask people who know more about the mechanics of how MP differs from SP. the people she plays with don't hang out on CFC for the most part i think, so it's definitely worth a shot, they wouldn't have seen you ask here. i have my fingers crossed for you! well, not really, since i have to type and play civ, but you know what i mean.
