After seeing Superman vs. Hulk and Superman vs. Spearman, I was thinking 'Superman is a weakling compared to Goku! I wonder how Goku would fare against the Killer Spearman."

By the way, for those unfortunate individuals who don't know Goku, he is the main character of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT, an incredibly popular set of animes (which were unfortunately remade into kid's cartoons for our soft-ass TV, but was much more intense when it aired in Japan during the 80's).

Goku would definitely beat Superman with a single Kamehameha blast. The question is, how will he fare against the Killer Spearman? Will he suffer a total blowout like he did against Cell, or will he overpower the spear-wielding fiend like he did Freiza?
 
I hope Goku dies a horrible, painfully slow death....I hate Japanamaion like it ( I hate the big eyes and mouths). Now stuff like Vampire Hunter D and Macross = :goodjob:

Future Trunks did beat Freiza.

But before that, Goku beat Freiza on Namek. The difference is that Goku spared Freiza's life.

Anyway, I said he 'overpowered' Freiza. There's a difference between that and 'defeated' Freiza.
 
The Spearman would kick Goku's ass. But then, Sasami could kick Goku's ass. To beat the Spearman, you'd need the full power of Jurai, Tenchi-ken and the gems. In short, the only Anime group who can beat a Spearman are the Tenchi Muyo gang.:p

When started the Hulk v Superman thread I thought It would just be a couple of comic geeks who replied....now look what happened:eek::eek::eek::eek:
 
Before voting, consider this:

Cell in his first form wiped out the equivalent of about two to three modern armour armies.

One modern armour army can easily beat a spearman.

Therefore, Cell in his first form could beat a spearman.

Goku is far stronger than Cell was before his android absorptions. Therefore Goku can easily beat Cell (at this point in his evolution).

Therefore Goku must be able to beat the spearman.


Sorry, but I needed to make an effort to keep this from being completely one-sided. I know all this to be ridiculous. Its not like there's anything else to do anyway.
 
What stage of Goku's life are we talking about?

I'm going to assumign that you're talking about the Goku during the Cell Days.
Okay so here comes Goku flying towards the fotress that the spearman is defending. Goku charges in and throws a few punches which the spearman blcoks with his shield. Goku fires a few blasts which Spearman avoids. THen Goku goes Super Saiyan and fires a kamehameha wave. THe fortress is razed but the spearman is still alive and been promoted to elite status. Goku goes mad and beats the spearman up to 1hp while goku is in full health. Then suddenly Gou begins to lose and is knocked down to 1 hp. Goku hovers and makes a spirit bomb. He throws it but as it comes down the spearman reveals himself to be none other than Buu who at the moment totally out classes Goku in power and turns our hero into a carrot and eats him.

Goku did a better job then superman. Atleast!! :)
 
Obviously he doesn't, any Civ Fanatic knows that spearmen are easily the most powerful units in the game.

Unless you play the real Civ, then there are NO spearmen...

BTW Gorko, or Gordo, or whatever that thing is called is not more powerful than God, who is the only being capable of defeating spearman.:king:

I know they are. But I'm talking a modern armour ARMY of four units in the above equation. Since it is a 4v1 battle, the first three will whittle the spearman to 1 hp, with the lucky last one blasting him to oblivion. Cell beat three or four modern armour ARMIES of four units each. And that was his first form. No androids for Cell then. Goku could easily wipe the floor with Cell then and so could beat the modern armour armies. So therefore, Goku wins.

Besides, it is a stupid poll I posted when I had way too much time on my hands. Goku isn't even a unit in the game. Stop taking it so seriously. Sheesh!!!
 
I voted for Goku, but even him couldn't beat the superium KILLER HOPLITE!

nope. well maybe a conscript spearman but any vetran spearman knows the secret weakspot of all modern armor.
 
It depends really.... DragonballZ Goku would probably get thrashed by the spearman.
Although Goku from the anime movie 'Goku: Midnight Eye' would kick the spearmans ass. Who could beat a man with an eye like his?:eek:

Yeah, so Cell beat four modern armour armies. But I ask you this, what if Cell is a Civ3 spearman in disguise? Now, Cell, in his final form (elite status) is on a hill, fortified. Along four modern armour armies. Cell can kick their ass in his first form, and in his final, on a hill, fortified, means he can dispose of them with no trouble. Then he spawns some mini Cells, and they go off and attack barbarian encampments, and become elite. Cell, meanwhile, has become a great leader, since he defeated four armies while elite. Cell has attacked North City, and was unchallenged. North City contains the pentagon, so Cell can put four elite Cells into a super spearman elite army. After god-knows how many episodes, Goku shows up and has to fight an elite spearman army on a hill, fortified. He cannot win.

God, I'm SAD.:eek:

And BTW, Ayeka Jurai and Tenchi Masaki are Direct descendants of a Goddess, and they COULD beat a spearman army.:p
