What is the most gold per turn that you have achieved?

Currently playing as the Americans, Warlord, large map, 9 other Civs, around 1735AD and I am getting 462 per turn!:D

I have gotten to around a 1,000.

Are you asking for net gain or total income?
My last game, toward the end, huge world, 11 civs, mil milatary support was about 630, science 1100, coruption 450. Science set for new tech in 4 turns, The AI way graciously :) paying my military support costs, and my net gain was running about 1400. I used most of that each turn to buy libraries, temples and stuff for my mostly corrupt cities. Unfortunately, like many people, they didnt make use of what I graciously gave them, so they stayed corrupt.:D

You can sometimes boost your per turn take by a healthy sum (for a while) by selling stuff such as techs to other civs for gold per turn (or was that the total you were referring to?).

Being still at the cheesey newbie stage myself (although climbing out of it thanks in part to reading helpful posts by the two gents above, and others) I have sometimes got such deals in a slightly underhand way.

Normally. I'm a bit reluctant to flog off too many techs. But I have sometimes made exceptions when some Leader pops up and says "Give me (e.g.) Magnetism or I'll wipe you". On occasions, I've given in to temptation and reloaded back a turn or two, rung them up and said sweetly "what would you give me for Magnetism?". Sometimes I've been stunned by how much they promptly shelled out in gold per turn and other goodies (and they left me alone for a while too!):D

Ever tried doing the opposite? Buying a tech for a few gold per turn, then declaring war? :D

Or if you think they'll attack you, sell for a lump sump. But usually its best to go for per turn.

I also don't mind giving cash to a war mongering neighbour. They think they're tough so placate them with cash (instead of tech sometimes). Then invade and take all the money back. Heh.

In my current game I have 612 gold/turn.
I just finished selling 2 diferent techs to get all this.
I am playing on a large world with 7 other civs at warlord level.
and it looks like those damed English are monting a massive attack against me so I will loose all that gold for military alliances
(easy come, easy extorted)

I would be careful about signing alliances where you pay much gold/turn when you are receiving most of your gold from other civs. If your agreement with the other civs for gold/turn wears off before your alliance does, which it probably will since you are already receiving your gold/turn and you haven't signed the alliances yet, you will end up witha huge trade deficit. Also, I would try to take on the English one on one because that way you can sign a quick peace treaty without taking the reputation loss you will get if you sign an alliance against a civ and then in a few turns sign a peace treaty. This really pisses the AI off, and you may find yourself at war with your old ally.
